I went to a total of 6 High Schools, once i turned 18 i still was not done but was sick of school so i turned to Belford High School hoping to recieve my Diploma instead of a GED. I was told they were going to get my transcrips and see how many credits more i needed. They said I didnt need any and send me the Diploma after charging me $350.

The Diploma looks fake, and is not recoginized anywhere. They would not give me a refund because to much time had passes when I made my coplaint. Now here I am in this economy, and I cant get a job, but how am I to trust another company after I have been so lied to.Way to get someone where it hurts!

IAAOU and UCOEA don't exist

AUTHOR: Redbirdwarrior - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 15, 2010

I did some research on Belford and the accreditting bodies and found one simple thing, IAAOU and UCOEA are owned by the same international company as Belford.  Additionally, only one other school in the world has IAAOU or UCOEA accreditation and it is ANOTHER school owned by Belford.

The company is based out of Africa, though all "degrees and diplomas" are mailed from a non descript PO Box in Texas.  I mean, my god, they have package deals on the website where, for the low low price of $1700 USD, you can be 18 years old and purchase a  high school diploma, a bachelor's degree and a masters.  For an additional 1400 dollars you can purchase a doctorate complete with pre-written thesis to try to scam employers with.

They offer degrees in anything from Civil Engineering to Cardiology.  There is even an option to name a degree whatever you want. This is irresponsible and should be illegal.  For example, if a hospital didn't look closely at potential candidates and hired someone based on the fact that they had a Belford degree, that individual would be litterally playing doctor and would EASILY kill someone.  Same with a civil engineer who might design a building or a bridge.  A degree is a sheet of paper saying what you are qualified to do.  Falsifying that can and will cost lives.

International accreditaiton

AUTHOR: Nicholasdarrrion - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Being a Senior lecturer, i m aware of the legalities for an online school. I straight away visited the website after reading your post here. The school is accredited by International accreditation Agency for Online universities and Universal Council for online accreditation. Let me educate you that the online schooling is still a growing concept and hence the legal requisites are still not completely determined. There are some bodies formed online virtual for virtual schools to avail accreditation. IAAOU and UCOEA are two of the very few that offer international accreditation.

Go back to school! Your spelling is a joke - you may have gotten "ripped off" but if you actually claimed to graduate from HS in a Job Interview/College Application who is ripping off who?
