Bell Pest Control Corporation Door to door salesman lied about the total cost of the service and contract is written to decieve the consumer by listing the wrong total amount of payments for the service so they can collect payment Elk Grove, California

A door to door salesman came by and told me the company had a special offer promo going on in our neighborhood and several of my neighbors were taking advantage of it. The offer was a reduction of the start up cost of $175.00 and only $99.00 ( 3 payments of 33.00 ) for them to come out and spray the peremature every 3 months for 1 year. After varifying the total cost several times, I agreed to the terms. I made sure the total amount of payments stated the $ 99.00 I was quoted.
 
After they came out twice in 4 months and I payed them $33.00 each time, I assumed it would be several months before the next service. Without any contact from them in two months, I recieved a statement with two $10.00 late charges on it. When I contacted their office I was then informed of a completely different amount then what the salesman quoted. I was told the the amount was $99.00 per quarter for a total of $396.00 for the full year. Contract states total amount is $99.00!!
After trying to explain what I was originally quoted, Jennifer became very rude and told me to send in a cancellation notice in writing and hung up on me.

I sent in the notice plus a check for the balance of $33.00 to pay off the total amount that was listed on the original contract and told them not to bother coming out for the final service. They sent back my check and with a invoice stateing I owed That $33.00 plus $99.00 for the next quarter ( they never even finish the first quarter spraying ) plus $175.00 cancellation fee for a total of $307.00 . I feel the saleasman lied, the contract is misleading and deceiving and have never seen a sales contract that didn't list the total amount of payments due which was $396.00 not $99.00 . Now they are trying to get late fee's on top of it. I refuse to pay.
