I was interested in making money from home and I called People's lifestyle, Inc., a company who puts out a directory that lists companies who enable individuals to make money by assembling their products from home. Unfortunately, many of the companies listed in the book are fraudulent. One of those companies is Bella Beads. Bella Beads is a company that offers the so called opportunity to make their beaded bookmarks from home while making an extra income at the same time. I thought it would be a great opportunity, so I tried to contact them on December 31st 2007, but I got no answer, so I called them again sometime within the first week in January and I got no answer again, as a result, I left a message and she called me back within 5 minutes, which lead me to believe that she was screening her calls. Although, this was a clue that this lady might be shady I still pursued the venture, because I had put the name of the company in search engines on the web and nothing derogatory came up on the company. I have no idea why I did not contact the Better Business Bureau, I just did not think of it at the time. When I spoke to her on the phone, I told her that I was interested in making her beaded bookmarks from home and she asked me if I had filled out an application and I said no, so she took down my name and address and sent me an application and I received it within a week. I filled out the application right away and enclosed it in an envelope along with a check for $86.65 around the second week in January. I was supposed to receive the beads and other products to make the beads within 10 days, but nothing ever arrived. I looked online through my online banking system and noted that she had cashed the check. It is now February 14th and I still have not received anything from the Bella Beads representative. I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and she has not answered my complaint through them and I have noted from the Better Business Bureau that this lady has had 51 complaints filed on her within the last 36 months. I hope to get my money back, but I also hope to stop this lady from being in business, she has hurt and taken so many people's money and she needs to be stopped. I will take my complaint to as many agencies as I can until I know that she is no longer in business. I will not sit idle to let her keep taking people's money.
