I purchased training from a Bella Vernici Dealer Seattle studio's at 1K plus travel expenses and 10k wholesale in material directly from the Bella Vernici factory to do a concrete overlay. Rodney the owner sent me his recommended portions of product to do the process. When I checked the order they had overloaded me on materials that are rarely used and shorted me on product that was the main ingredient. He told me that the product lasted indefinately so I would eventually use it. He now says it has an 18 mo shelf life. They would not return overstock as it is now expired. I had to spend another 5k just to get the main ingredient that they origionally shorted me on while sitting on thousands of $$ of non usable product. At this time they changed the installation process. I've had product failure with the new order and they told me I was trained incorrectly by the dealer. I had not had any product failure when we installed according to the origional training method. They are refusing any tech support at the factory. The training facility won't return a phone call. I was told they would help me if I pay $175.00 an hour for consulting. I am out over 10k in materials plus 6K in jobs I couldn't get paid on because the product did not hold up.

Well, I see that we've now been waiting for a bit over a year with no legal action by you, Laurie. I assume you either came to your senses or simply had to leave the grid to avoid paying some of your other debts. Or, maybe you just forgot how to type after another employee left you who was your actual typist (y'know, like the one who actually went to the concrete training for you?). BTW, did you ever realize the difference in training under a Dealer vs training from the manufacturer? Anyway...hopeless trying to explain anything to someone so out of touch with reality.
I sincerely hope this website realizes all the libel it carries by allowing these random "rip-off" postings with no proof whatsoever. Just wanted to throw that out there again, since this garbage website keeps popping-up on the search engines when people search for our products...

All products have been used according to your instructions. You sold me the incorrect portions that you reccomend on your site. you sent me 80,000 sq ft of bonding primer and sealer compared to 5,000 sq ft of actual overlay material. It just seemed like you were trying to get rid of old product. If you can sell this product to the do-it-yourselfer through Sherwin Williams then why wouldn't a full weeks training be enough? Yes I could have gone for another FREE weeks training in TX.
I didn't understand that you were covering my travel, payroll and lodging expenses. OOPS my mistake. You also asked me why I hadn't been offering training classes? I am capable to train just not install. You seem to just want to make quick money and not concerned with long term relationships. When I purchased this product I thought you were a new company and now another user informed me that this product has been on the market foe 8yrs. That should be long enough for you to get your kinks worked out.You always skate around the questions and never give a straight answer. I am also curious as to why there are never any posts on your website forum???? Oh and thanks for clarifying what a class action suit is. Your a big help.

As I said, you didn't use the materials properly, and therefore had leftover product as well as failure.
Of course you're very first sentence in your initial post implies you took training direct. Nobody would assume you meant you purchased it for someone else. Only after you're called on this half-truth do you admit the rest. It's also funny that you never took advanage of training for yourself when you had all these problems-especially since we offered it to you at no cost.
The differences in training received were as a result of methods that school used previously with other stucco products. Either method works for most people. You were welcome to choose your preference. Regardless, we require all Dealers and Distributors train directly with our home office to insure consistency.
I find it both humerous and coincidental that you would say you're considering a Class Action suit. I suggest you look-up what one is first. A Class-Action is not you suing several people, genius. It is several litigants suing a single entity. Moreover, I find it coincidental, because I called my attorney to file a cease and desist order against you for both libel and slander just this past friday. You'll be receiving the papers via legal courier sometime this week. Then I requested that we look into a class-action suit against this website so that several of the companies defamed here can pool funds to shut-down this gossip and rhetoric that passes for assumed fact. Kiddo, I pray to see you one day soon in court. Your lies will then catch-up to you.

I have never represented that I went to training. I purchased training for an employee who has been in the construction field for 30yrs.
I my self have been in construction for 8 yrs. Hardi Backer is a board you buy at the hardware store for an underlayment in an area that may be exposed to moisture. I may still pursue a law suit. I am researching my options for an attorney in Texas or bringing a class action suit against Bella Vernici, Seattle Studio's and Twig and a Feather in Iowa.
Why wasn't there a responce about the inventory you loaded me up on or why in training they had different methods that you use. Also in training they didn't reccomend Serico. You did replace a minimal amount of the product that failed.

So, you now change your story to admit you never trained. Can you also admit that you know nothing about construction or even what HardiBacker IS? How about the claim that you never got any support.
I forwarded all the advisory e-mail correspondence to your attorney (who then dropped the case). I have employees who also tried to help you over the phone. We gave you free replacement product, we talked to you for over an hour at a stretch, we paid the $100 freight for you to send us chips of concrete you'd improperly installed, we sent you articles, pictures and PDF instructions on how to do this stuff-yet you act like we were unavailable.
How do you stand yourself? Do you think you'll never have to answer to an absolute sovereignty for these lies? I have to get back to my REAL life now. you go enjoy the made-up one you're living.

Bella Vernici responce

My employee attended an authorized training facility at Seattle Architecture Studios that is listed on the Bella Vernici web site.
MY employee still works here and has never left to go out on his own.
In the week long training a wood floor was done with a mesh layed over it and then the overlay process was done.
I was told by Rodney that that was incorrect and to use hardi-backer.
This is when we had adhesion and cracking problems. In the middle of an install I had spider web cracks and called Rodney for advice. He said the counters weren't reinforced enough.
It had 1" of wood and 1/4" hardi backer over cabinets. He also told me his role was not to offer support. The Seattle studio will never return calls and my distributer did not know the answers and instructed me to call Rodney direct. If that is not enough why aren't my sample boards cracking. This is at the same time I recieved a new batch of materials were the texture and odor had changed. I had done a counter 2 yrs ago and it is fine. This one a year ago has completley failed. I will be posting those pictures soon.
In my origional 10K order I was sent 80,000 sq ft of hardner and only 5,000 sq ft of overlay and enforcer. When I questioned Rodney about the overload on the product he said " Oh well you won't need to order any for a while" Now I found out about the "expiration" and they won't take any product back because of the expiration.
If a weeks training isn't long enough how can they sell this product to the Do-It-Yourselfer

The simple Truth
AUTHOR: Rodney - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, May 23, 2007
The reason reports like this so often sound outrageous is that they simply are. This woman never trained at any of our Dealers' facilities. She instead sent an employee who then quit working for her to go out on his own. She had no clue how to install our materials and still doesn't have. Nothing has ever changed on installation instructions in the 8 years I've been contracting and selling this product. There is no expiration date. We simply guarantee the shelf life of product in the bucket for 18 months. The product that she left unused is a big source of the probelm here as steps were skipped and instructions were either ignored or at least not adhered to. We have tens of thousands of square feet completed with this product every month in all parts of the Country as well as several locations abroad. To give credence to a loose and unsubstantiated allegation by this untrained "contractor" and allowing it on sites such as this is exactly what devalues the internet as a "TRUSTED" information source. This is nothing more than the last pathetic resort of someone whose attorney decided to drop her claim. I want to also post my appreciation to those satisfied customers who brought this post to my attention.
