Belle Tire Charges for 4 wheel alignment on cars that cannot be adjusted in rear Grand Rapids Michigan

Called them and asked for quote for my 1996 Golf GL for a 2 wheel alignment, was told I might need a 4 wheel alignment. When I told the guy on the phone I knew for a fact my car can't have the rears adjusted, he suddenly changed his story and got all flustered. Thought he sounded shady and dishonest, so I told my husband to AVOID going to Belle Tire on Plainfield for the alignment we needed, but for some reason he went there anyway. When he came home with an invoice for a 4 wheel alignment, I was furious.

He said he walked in and asked for a front end alignment and the salesguy Robert told him it would be $64 (the price of a 4 wheel alignment) before ANY work was performed. My husband does not pay attention to prices and said "OK" and let them do the alignment, paid, and left. They also never gave him the computer print out and when I called to ask where it was less than a half hour later Russ said "they probably threw it away already" which sounded like a cover up. I made my husband return to Belle Tire and get a refund for the difference between the two wheel and four wheel alignment.

I wonder how many people are getting scammed by Belle Tire on Plainfield in Grand Rapids, MI by paying for 4 wheel alignments that they do not need. That is why I wrote this rip-off report. I don't think they should get away with this. I also might contact the Better Business Bureau next. Yes, they rectified the situation by refunding my money, but they shouldn't have tried to pull a fast one on me. Unfortunately for them, I'm not a stupid consumer that doesn't know anything about her car.
