The business I have a complaint about is Bellevue Animal Clinic, 5302 Hwy 182, Opelousas LA  70570 - specifically, Dr. Kevin Fuselier. 

 

I had a cat who needed one eye enucleated and a splint put on one leg.  Dr. Fuselier assured me it was a simple surgery and said it would cost $400.  I told him I was not working and let him talk me into applying for, and receiving, a Care Credit credit card in order to pay for the surgery.  He then offered me a job in order to pay off the credit card.

 

After one week, I was fired for "bad work ethics" based on untrue accusations (either misconceptions or outright lies, I don't know).  On the same day, he told me the surgery on my cat would actually cost $800 instead of the $400 he quoted me, but has never given a reason why.  I have to assume it has something to do with his talking me into getting the Care Credit credit card.  I think this because if he had not given me a job, I would have had to have the cat put to sleep, and the total cost of that and the clinic visit would only have been $100 (so he said at the time I brought the cat in).
