I took my Jeep Wrangler to Mr Bell to replace the engine. I purchased an engine he was suppose to pick up. He stated several times when I asked him that Yes he was going to replace the engine. First reason for not doing so was time. It was a secondary vehicle so fine. Next was a bout of ill health. I understand this happens. Next was catching up on work to pay the bills when he was sick. No problem. Next was he was sick again. Ok. I checked repeatedly on the Jeep and Mr Bell started avoiding me and my phone calls. When I went there no work had been done and Mr Bell just stepped out. I had my agent go to pick up the Jeep and the engine. He was told by Mr Bell that I picked it up months ago. I had not. He again did not return my calls and he was out when I stopped in. He did not report it as missing to the police. In fact he gave all evidence that he didn't care my 87 Jeep Wrangler was missing. He didn't even bother to call me to ask if the person taking it was my agent. IF he did not dispose of it, he handed the keys over to a complete stranger to me. And he's still avoiding me.

See if he doesn't suddenly "remember" where it is.

Yes. I went to the state police.
I am the original poster. I can't find the email address I used to write that so I created a second account. I've seen my Lawyer, reported him to the BBB and am looking at a private criminal complaint. I didn't post this for advice but to prevent anyone else from having the problems I had. He changed his story in his reply to the BBB.
