We rented from the Belmont Apartments in Dallas Texas, on Belmont rd for TWO YEARS and was the BIGGEST MISTAKE of our lives. We were late 2 by 1 day and EACH time they filed eviction papers with the City of Dallas and tacked on $10 a day for late fees and the cost of the eviction. ONE DAY LATE.....TWICE. Each time we were traveling and called them but they said sorry, eviction was automatic and filed!!! We left after two years and were NEVER, EVER late and paid all our bills. But it didn't end there. When we left we had the rugs steam cleaned and the left the place immaculate, only to get a rug cleaning bill for $65.00!!!! What????
We sent them a letter telling we paid $400 for the cleaning and it was immaculate. Guess what? We got a letter from Collections for the $65, ruining our CREDIT!!!
Do NOT rent from UDR or The Belmont Apartments in Dallas, TX.....before you leave they WILL RUIN your credit at some point. This has happened to over 10 people I have talked to. If you value your credit rating, STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
