belmont manufactured homes we purchased a brand new custom made home from belmont homes. It has very poor construction, not set up correct and very bad black mold which has made everyone in the entire home ill. Internet, Oklahoma

we purchased a $58000 doub. wide home in 1998. my husband had recently had a massive heart attack so he thought this would be the best way to make sure his family had a safe place to live if something happened to him keeping in mind he is a home builder but was afraid that he would not be able to build the house because of his condition. he just wanted to make sure we had a decent place to live. The house was not set up correctly one side was 1 & 1/2 foot off from the other side and not corrected. we have terrible black toxic mold because of leaks. my children and myself have all been very ill since we got the home. The roof leaks all over the place. It is not level and has never been level. we have electrical shorts all the time. this home is a death trap but we have no other means of living. we put 20,000.00 down on the home and still owe 32000.00 on it and have had it for 10 years. I have searched for legal assistance but have not been able to retain an attorney because every month we have to repair something else in the home. I call it a home but accually it has been a nightmare. I could not sell this home to anyone because i would just feel so guilty to have anyone else go through what we have. I am no longer able to work because of illnesses and my children have had to be homebound for schooling because of illnesses. This is not right for a company to make money off of people and also put their health in jeopardy. PLEASE beware of this company.
