PLEASE beware of Benchmarkemail.com. I canceled my account with them back in April 2012, then all of the sudden I got $120 charge from them. I called them immediately knowing that it was a mistake and I would get a refund. After several hours talking to multiple different people, they came to the conclusion that I shouldn't have been charged, but they have a "foot down, no refunds" policy. So they gave me another free month of their service, which I don't even need. It's absolutely ridiculous that they can just charge people's cards, realize they are wrong, but still not refund. It has to be illegal, but they know I'm not going to take them to court over $120. I hope that they finally get the wrong person one day and get busted for this fraudulent activity.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Benchmark Email
AUTHOR: Daniel - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, July 05, 2012
Unfortunately this user does not address who they are, or
what business they represent, so we cannot be certain as to the exact
details of this case. However, we would like to address some of the
points made in this post, as they are factually incorrect in regards to
our policies.
First, if a system error occurs and wrongly charges a
user, a refund would certainly be issued. What will sometimes happen, is
a user will forget to cancel their account. The system is set up so
that users are autocharged month-to-month, to allow for seamless use of
Benchmark Email. Sometimes, a user realizes too late that they forgot to
cancel their account. The times we will offer a free additional month,
are when a system error causes a major disruption in the use of our
services.
Benchmark Email is accredited by the Better Business
Bureau with an A+ rating. We would like to ask this user to contact us
with documentation of their canceled account, so that we can properly
assess the situation. We would like the opportunity to show that we've
earned that grade.
