Beneficial Finance - HSBC Beneficial Finance will STEAL you blind! From High interest rates to bogus NSF Fees Concord North Carolina

I am writing on behalf of my sister. Her husband (who passed away Dec. 25, 2008) had a 1st mortgage with Beneficial. When he got the loan he was suckered into getting the life insurance with it. Which Beneficial now says canceled due to him getting 3 months behind on his payments in 2003. His bank statements only show he missed one payment, but made it up. He was never sent a cancellation letter and when my sister contacted the company she was told 2 different cancellation dates. He also had an "unsecured" equity line for $15,000.00 (not sure how that can happen) which he also paid for life insurance for. Guess what, it cancelled also! Not sure when or why, but it did.
It doesn't end there. The typed account numbers on the loan documents were marked out and hand written in, payments that cleared their bank account were never credited to the loan. The account balance went 13 months without changing AT ALL even though regular monthly payments were being made. The loan is supposed to be simple interest, however, it shows deferred interest on a printout that was given to her at a branch. They were also charged for over $8000.00 in Non-sufficient funds fees that she has proof where the checks cleared the bank or it was paid by a money order (which are guaranteed funds).
There is much more to this drama! The main thing is my sister is fighting desperately to keep the house that her and her husband lived in. They are making her life stressful and made his that way before he passed away!
There has to be a way to stop this company and put an end to this madness!
