Help! A family member that was desperate for money knew my personal information used it and took out a line of credit loan totalling 17,000.00 dollars at 24.99% interest.
I only found out because I received a phone call from someone at Beneficial asking if I wanted to try and lower the loan by refinancing my house and use the equity to pay the loan off because other wise it was going to take 30 years to pay off! At 24.99 % I believe this would be about $120,00.00 if I was only paying the minimum payment. This truly is Robbery, Rip Off, Loan Sharking!
This has devistated me. To the best of my knowledge my debt to income was already to high for loans. I had to investigate my self how this was done 4 different people from Beneficial told me the loan was done thru pre approved loans in the mail and would have required a signature and ID to cash. My family member said it was done only on line. I found out thru my bank and finally pressuring someone at Beneficial what my bank had told me that indeed it was all done on line and direct deposit into account.What lies from the Beneficial people !
Online loans should be illegal with out proof. ID, Signature, what ever it takes so this doesn't happen to people. Please ! I am just sick about this is there any help for me to make this company lower the interest rate?

I understand they are ripping you off but why is the person who took out the loan in your name not paying both financially and legally?
