Benefits & Card Services My bank account was charge three payments of 99.99 on the same day Las Vegas Nevada

I went to withdraw the money that i need to go through the week, and find out that i didn't have any money as a matter of fact i was on the negative , i am a unemployed single parent. the teller tells me that on the november 2nd there was Three preauthorized payment of $99.99 each gave me a phone number (800-279-6989) i called as soon i got home and since it was sunday no one answer but a recording sayng that they were closed .called my bank and was instructed to go bank to my branch and put a stop to the preauthorized payment my bank representative was very help full and made an affidavit for to sign and send to main office so that an investigation could be made but the big question how they can charge my bank account three times on the same date without the bank catching that something its wrong here.
