BESSEMER SMALL ENGINE REPAIR Either Inept, Dishonest, or Both - My Lawn Tractor is Worse Than When I Brought It In Bessemer Michigan

Brought my lawn tractor in there around the fourth of july. Since it was the 4th, I said no big hurry…it was their rush season. No word was heard from them...so I finally stopped in on october...just to see if I missed the connection. I had not, & they still had not even looked at my machine by the end of october, had not bothered to do anything with it. So I told them very clearly that I wanted my machine...said they would go at it. The next time I stopped in, they at least had looked at it, but they told me they did not know what was wrong, but they could not repair it, that it was way too difficult for them to handle. They really were clueless as to what was wrong. I asked them why, and they told me it was junk, but if I wanted to they could try. The very next time we communicated, they had put some parts into my machine, got me a bill for $474.68, but reiterated that they could not repair it. After going without my machine for half a year, these ace mechanics could not fix it. They were not even sure as to what was wrong with it, but could not repair it. They still were charging me nearly $500 for parts & services rendered that may or may not have been needed. I asked for my old parts...but they had junked them (not ethical or legal...made me suspicious). So they had sat on it for half a year, then they had put parts into it, but I still had a broken machine. I was not happy. Finally after a lot of bickering, they took off the labor charges, but were taking off all the parts they put on, despite not having the parts they had removed to show me (I owned those parts & by law I can get them back). So now I have a lawn tractor more broken than when I brought it in half a year ago. I would never again let these yo-yos work on anything. They are over priced, dishonest, do not get things done in any reasonable amount of time, are inept, plus the owner was not at all people friendly. DO NOT USE THEM FOR SERVICE!!! Too stupid to fix anything beyond the basic.
