My car was towed, which I take full responsibility for. I tracked it down to this place, called in and got a price. I was quoted a whopping $187.50 a mere 2 hours after being towed from parking on the street at a crowded restaurant. If I got there before 10 AM the next morning, the price would be honored. After that it jumped up $20 or so. Although not happy, I arrived a full 15 minutes before the specified time.

The ogre at the desk named Jose, hiding behind his window, kept busy for a good 10 minutes making photocopies and filling out paperwork with the skill of a 6 year old. Then he sent me on a ten minute hike to retrieve the identifying documents from my car. By the time I returned it was well after 10 AM so he charged me the additional fee. When I objected his first response was to threaten calling the police and told me to leave car-less if I didn't like it! This place is a joke, and Jose needs to be fired.

It's unclear whether the company owners, Jenette Rash and John Waltmon, also involved with Fast Tow Wrecker Service, (www.fasttow.net) have any clue that their company is being run like this. I am very aware that the nature of the business requires employees to be firm, and that many 'customers' come in with guns blazing. I, however, am not one of those people. I have full control of my temper and was very willing to pay what I was quoted over the phone. I do not, however, appreciate the bait and switch, nor do I appreciate the abrasive attitude of the coward behind the window.

A little bit of decency would have gone a long way, now they're going to hear about it on every review site I can find. And it won't stop until Jose gets fired and/or I get my $20 back. That's right, $20. What's it worth to you now?
