Best buy did not cancel my Kaspersky renewal and nstead every year I fight with them about charging my best buy card without my knowledge for a product they purchase from themselves on my behalf and every year they refuse to give me a full refund despite me asking for it to be canceled. It sucks because they automatically charge my BEST BUY credit card which is actually owned by Citi, so I never even have a say or click a box to renew as it is still done automatically without my consent being needed. Then by the time I realize it, it's too late to get a full refund on the product I never downloaded and they have to send it to corporate to get a ruling on it. Corporate then takes two weeks to get back to you and since citi technically manages and owns the card division the whole time you accrue fees and interest. The reason they partially refund you is so the fees and interest remain and now I owe $100 to Citi in fees on top of the $10 of the $40 Best Buy charged to my card and refused to fully refund. They do it all the time and I would not doubt I am not the only one they scammed like this. Best Buy blames citi for the fees and says talk to them and Citi blames Best buy for not fully refunding the money, so the Fees cant be refunded unless you get a full refund which Best buy won't do. I spent 7 hours on the phone trying to work this out and it seemed like this whoe thing was rehearsed, so I know I'm not the first person in this situation. I bet they get a few calls a week about this shadiness. They got sued in a class action suit a few years back doing something similair with MSN online account subscriptions, so I have no doubt it's only a matter of time before the next class action suit about this practice comes out.
