I recently ordered a Canon PowerShot G7 digital camera from BestPricecameras.com for $419 - which I thought initially was a great price. After I submitted the order, I received an email telling me to call Harvey at Best Price to confirm the order. I did so, and proceeded to smooth talk me into getting the 5-year warranty, 2 gigabyte high speed memory card, high speed charger, and long life battery for an addition $430.

When I got the delivery in the mail, I found he had sent me a standard speed charger, standard life battery, and standard speed memory card. When I called to tell him there had been some sort of mistake he argued with me and told me that if the charger really did not charge in an hour and a half and if the battery did not last 4 hours then I should call him back and he would send me a new one.

Well, I called Canon directly and they told me there is no such thing as a high speed charger OR long life battery. I called Harvey (ext. 286) - the guy who dealt with my order - to try and deal with this in a civilized manner. He put me through to some guy who supposedly was his manager, Ben. I told Ben the issue and he yelled at me and rudely offered me a measely $40 credit and told me "If I were you I would snatch this up real quick." or pay a 13% restocking fee to return everything - things which I did not order and did not authorize to be sent to my house are things I SHOULD NOT have to pay for to send back. I am now having to dispute the charge with my credit card company and I am definitely filing complaints with various consumer advocate organizations over this mail order fraud. I've found multiple websites with scam reviews on this company, and I'm surprised this place has been in business for 7 years - so they say. This is a classic bait and switch company. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOUSY COMPANY PLEASE!!!!!!
