Best Price Moving & Storage Dishonest, misrepresented price, did not show up on date agreed Chicago Illinois

This company was scheduled to arrive on 9/20/2008 at 3pm, when they didn't show, a call was made and they said they would arrive at 6pm. That time came and went and another call was made and they said they would be there at 7pm. THAT time came and went and they said they would arrive at 9pm. THAT time came and went and still a no-show.

Another call was made and after a lengthy discussion, they said they would not be able to show up until the following date. In the same conversation, they also said that we now needed $900 cashiers check (not mentioned before) on pick-up AND the price was now increased from $1200 to $2200 because they now have to truck the load to Chicago, IL from OH, then to Jacksonville, NC and the $2200 was just an estimate!

This company completely misrepresented their company by not providing details up front, especially the movement to Chicago, IL which we were not informed of and their quote was considerably less than they agreed to.

This seems like a situation where they low-balled the price to stop us from looking at other moving companies, then, knowing we had to move by a specific date, are basically holding us hostage and jacking up the price.

Well, we will NOT be using this company and recommend that you avoid at all costs.
