A couple of weeks ago I was in dire need of some inexpensive color copies (a very large number of them) for project materials that I was compiling. I did an internet search, and to my delight, discovered this company Best Value Copy (http://www.bestvaluecopy.com/), with prices for color laser printing/copying that were so reasonable, it almost seemed too good to be true - 11 cents per page, as opposed to almost 70 cents at Kinkos. So I put in 3 orders.
It came back in the mail around four days later - and 2/3 of the order was incorrect. The pages were right, but for some reason the Best Value Copy printers emboldened random words and letters throughout the 120+ pages on my biggest and most important of 3 orders. I double checked the original .pdf document, and this was their mistake - not mine.
In the mean time, I discovered that I needed to make a minor revision in the page numbers, and so I needed to correct this and resubmit. But because Best Value had not done the initial copies right, I felt (and feel strongly) that they owed me a new set at no cost.
So I phoned them to try to rectify the situation and informed them of their error. The gentleman on the other end seemed to doubt that I was telling the truth and hesitated for a long time before agreeing that he would try to rectify the situation - he said, "I'll have to check with a supervisor before proceeding with this." He eventually agreed to grant me a new order sans cost, but only by submitting the original document that they had in their system - he adamantly refused to let me submit a new document. When I threw up my hands and said, "fine, I'd like you to do it right, resubmit and reship it to me," he promised me that he would. Then, NOTHING ARRIVED. They never reversed the charges on my account, and never gave me a new , corrected order. He informed me, during the course of the conversation, that their printers tend to embolden things randomly when given very large orders - it happens all the time - and this problem can't be helped.
11 cents a copy is indeed damned great, but not if the company doesn't have the wherewithal or the resources to fill orders correctly. Also, I found their attitude - their unwillingness to acknowledge and correct their own mistakes - completely disgusting.

I would like to comment on the "Ripoff Report" concerning Best Value Copy dated July 11, 2009.
I am a manager of Best Value Copy's customer service department. Our company is concerned by any comments by any customer that is not completely satisfied with our service and the products that we print for them.
I cannot comment on the specifics mentioned in NSouthern8's report because after we read this report we are trying to identify the order(s) in question in order to research the facts, however, we have been unable to locate any order with this name or from Novi, MI.
In any case, we are one of the largest digital printers in the USA and we produce over 1 million impressions per day and the reason for that success is that customers are extremely happy with our quality, price, delivery and our customer service.
We take all comments seriously and we would like to research this matter further. We request that the person writing this report contact our customer service department by email and refer to this report so we can identify the order in question for research. Please advise customer service in your email to give a copy of your email to Bob, a member of our staff. We can assure you that we will investigate this matter carefully and make our best effort to resolve any concerns fairly. We don't do business any other way!
