These guys are straight crooks. I bought a $600 monitor from them (Bestbuy) and one of the only reasons I purchased it was because it came with a $100 rebate. Well upon purchasing it I found out that it was actually two different rebates at $50 each. Well I let some time go by without sending out for my rebates then I realized that I might pass the expiration date of them if I didn't act soon. Well that is what happened with one of the rebates and I new I lost $50 on that one. So I took a look at the expiration date of the next rebate that I had and it was still good for an extra week. I filled it out and followed the instructions and sent it out that same day. A few weeks goes by and Rebatehq.com sends me a note saying that I sent it out (remember I only sent one out the one rebate that I knew was still good) past the expiration date and that if I still want the rebate I would have to send further documentation of the purchase. Now lets think about this for a moment the rebate requires you to send the rebate form completed and a receipt of the purchase along with the actual upc barcode from the box of the item purchased. So if all of this is sent out then what other proof of purchase is there? Oh and I check Rebatehq.com's website to see if they would post a photocopy of the receipt and past-post marked date (the proof so-to-speak) and the only thing that is up is the same exact note that was sent to me. Wow this looks like a perfect crime just sell someone an item and as a selling point tell them that you will get a rebate and then have them send all proof of purchase and never send the rebate. Great the consumer will always lose out. Don't let this happen to you. And don't shop at Bestbuy.

I find it strange that you would blame Best Buy for the rebate problem when you should be blaming rebatesHQ. Best Buy did you RIGHT! They sold you a great product with a mail-in rebate. Its up to you to get it sent on time with the correct things. YES, rebates DO get messed up alot. That why you should make copies of everything you send and also send the letter certified mail. LOTS of companies use rebatesHQ, not just Best Buy. I had a problem with a rebatesHQ rebate. They said I didn't send the UPC when I know i did. All i did was call them, and in 2 minutes they said they would send out a check... and in 2 weeks I got it! You should call them... most email systems are automated anyway. Don't blame Best Buy for other companies mistake. That is like blaming McDonalds for getting a rotten burger at Wendy's.
