After looking at several TV's at the brick and mortar Best Buy store, we decided on a Samsung 50" plasma. We went home and looked around on the internet for the best price. Because we are in a very, very rural location we do most of our shopping online. BestBuyPlasma.com came back with the lowest price for the TV so we went ahead and ordered it on August 25, 2007.

On August 26, 2007 "George" called me and stated that if we purchased the $299.00 3-year "on-site" extended warranty, we would not only get a $149.99 rebate on the warranty, he would bump us up to "Express 3-day Shipping". Since we have had good luck with extended warranties, and we wanted the TV in 3-5 days, we went for it.

On August 29, 2007 I received an email that the TV had been shipped; however there was no shipper information and no tracking number. On September 5, 2007, when I didn't get the TV in 3 days, I called "George" for the shipment information; I was passed over to "Shipping". The man in shipping then told me that the TV had shipped on the 29th, and that he didn't have a tracking number but he had the name and number of the shipper... Mohamed??? I asked if this was the name of the shipping company and was told it was. I called the number and a generic Sprint voicemail service answered so i left a message asking the shipper to call me ASAP. I left another message on the 6th and 7th with no return call... and no TV.

When I got home from work on Friday, September 7, 2007, there was a message on my home machine (even though the "shipper" had supposedly been given my cell and work numbers because my husband and I work). It was from Mohamed and had a different return number than what i had been given by BestBuyPlasma. When I called "Mohamed" back he told me he tried to deliver my TV earlier in the day and now he was in North Carolina (I live in Virginia). I asked why he didn't call to schedule the delivery before he tried to deliver it and he stated that he just picked the TV up at BestBuyPlasma late the night before.

That's not right, according to BestBuyPlasma, it was shipped on August 29th... hmmmmm. Then he tells me he will call me on Monday and deliver it then, all while he's complaining that he's losing money because he "couldn't" deliver it on Friday. That's a personal problem between him and BestBuyPlasma. He should have called to schedule a delivery.

So, Monday rolls around and still no word from Mohamed... I call him at the new number he gave me on Friday. He answers and tells me he can't deliver it today because he is in Georgia and he can't seem to tell me when it will be delivered. I call BestBuyPlasma again and I get Customer Service... it's the same guy from shipping. Now I know the company is fly-by-night and I am just about ready to cancel the order and tell the shipper where he can put the TV when he gets around to delivering it. The guy at Customer Service tells me he just got off the phone with the owner of the shipping company and he told the owner that it had to be shipped today. Supposedly, the owner of the shipping company agrees and he is calling his driver "as we speak, and the driver will be calling you right back and if you don't get any satisfaction, call the owner at the number we gave you". I told him that I left messages all last week at the number he gave me and I never got a return call. The Customer Service rep assured me that someone will answer that number if I call today.

I also asked how the TV could have shipped on the 29th of August if the driver told me he didn't even pick it up until the 6th of September. Okay, so I call the number... AGAIN, that BestBuyPlasma gave me for the shipper and low and behold, someone answers. I ask him where my TV is and contrary to what BestBuyPlasma has JUST told me, this guy tells me his shipper is in Georgia with the TV and it can't be delivered today... and do you think the driver called us right back like BestBuyPlasma told us he would?

Now it's Tuesday, September 11, 2007 and I haven't heard a word from anyone. It's been 8 business days and 13 full days since the TV supposedly shipped. I did some reading on BustBuyPlasmas website and found that the warranty that I was roped into is only good for TV's under $1500. Our TV was $2250 so that warranty is useless. I also read that after I was "upgraded" to "express shipping" as opposed to the original FedEx shipping, they don't ship plasma's via a licensed and insured shipper because of "size and nature of plasma TV's. What a crock.

Plus I found several complaints that the warranty provider would not provide service. I am also afraid that after being on a truck and being driven halfway around the country for at least 5 days, the TV will arrive damaged, and then I will be going through more stress trying to get the TV fixed or replaced. I just don't have a good feeling at all. BEWARE!!!

After looking at several TV's at the brick and mortar Best Buy store, we decided on a Samsung 50'' plasma. We went home and looked around on the internet for the best price. Because we are in a very, very rural location we do most of our shopping online. BestBuyPlasma.com came back with the lowest price for the TV at $2249.00 so we went ahead and ordered it on August 25, 2007.

Since we have had good luck with extended warranties, and we wanted the TV in 3-5 days, we went for it.

On August 29, 2007 I received an email that the TV had been shipped; however there was no shipper information and no tracking number. I also noticed today that on my credit card statement, I was charged a full amount of $2249.00 for the TV and $250.00, for a total of $2499.00, and the company that placed the charged is Skynet Communications. I assume that Skynet Communications is doing business as (dba) BestBuyPlasma. I never received a receipt for the warranty purchase, but it seems to be there on my credit card. So, I have a receipt for a $2249.00 TV and a credit card charge of $2499.00, no proof of the $250.00 warranty purchase.
