Bethlehem Family Dental Practice Tried to scam me into work I didn't need. Bethlehem Pennsylvania

I was referred to them by my insurance company.  I needed lots of work.  They claimed I needed a deep cleaning for my teeth and wanted to charge me $600 for it above and beyond what my insurance would cover and they don't cover these scalings.  They said the insurancwe wouldn't cover the rest unless I had the scaling.  They put in for a medical exception because of my diabetes but said I was rejected because I didn't get the scaling.  I want to a community dentist who said I could use the scaling but didn't really NEED it.  I had an emergency recently and called my insurance company.  The agent there said I should have been approved because of my diabetes, scaling or not.  The real reason I wasn't approved was the request was still pending.  The dentist had not put in my policy number, their provider number or telephone number.  They'd been dealing with this insurer for years and knew what they needed.  was it intentional they left this informatin out so they could try tp pressure me to spend money I don't have. They act more like auto repair shops that tell you you need work you don't.  If they ever say you need a scaling, get a second opinion.  I was in an urgent care center and got prescription antibiotics and pain killers because they didn't do the work they could have gotten approved easily according to the agent at the insurance company.  Find another dentist.  Don't trust Bethlehem Family Practice.
