Better Business Bureau Ripoff ignores consumer complaints stands on the side of business Los Angeles California

The Better Business Bureau of Los Angeles must be in bed with all businesses, weather they are a member of the BBB or not. As a member of the BBB a business is guaranteed a safe haven against consumer complaints. If the business is not a member of the BBB, the BBB still backs them up, in the hopes the company will join the BBB.

So, lets see here, who is the official winner in this scenario. Certainly not the consumer.

I filed a complaint against Alta Builders & Cabinet Makers with the BBB. I received an email from the BBB about 4 weeks later. The email stated that Alta builders did not respond and they were closing the case showing one complaint on file.

Then, another complaint was filed against Alta Builders a month later for the same shoddy business practices. This person that filed that complaint received a phone call from the BBB asking if the situation had been corrected. She told the BBB that was not the basis of the complaint, indeed the work on the contract was complete, but that there were other issues involved in the complaint. The BBB closed the complaint, and checked the box under the business profile, noting only one complaint had been filed, (somehow, my complaint that was originally on his business profile, vanished into thin air, and is no longer listed as a complaint, FISHY!!) and that work had been completed. Thus, Alta builders receives his mark of "AA" once again.

AND, to add insult to injury, this creep,(Alta builders dba Steve Pokras) comes out squeeky clean, even though he has been found in violation with the Contractors State License Board (california) for contract violations...

I asked the BBB what was up with the shady stuff surrounding these two complaints. I received an email from the BBB today, it simply stated "it went before the judge for a review". What the heck does that mean.

You know you can get fleas from a dirty dog.....
