This company publishes their cancellation and refund policy as a 100% satisfaction guarantee but you must take the "camp" to get the refund.  After taking the camp and not being satisfied for numerous reasons, the company would not honor their policy.

The policy is misleading and if a policy is a 100% money back guarantee, a consumer can reasonably assume this requires no explanation and is always to be honored, in good faith.  What the company claims is that you must take the entire camp and camps typically run for 3 days.  If you take 1 day and indicate you are not satisifed, the company will deny you a refund and state you must attend all the days of the camp. This is not stated anywhere in their policy but they try to leverage this loophole to avoid honoring refunds.

If a consumer is not satisfied, why would a company require you to continue to remain with the service additional days?  Is this to further your dissatisfaction and negatively impact the service, which is a class, that others have also paid for?  Either the policy needs to be updated or the company needs to honor what they have documented and published on all their websites. The spokesperson for the company claims they never get requests for refunds and used intimidation tactics in order to discourage the pursuit of a refund.  The spokesperson was belitting and demeaning as a result of requesting the refund.

This was a disappointment of a company who demonstrated they do not really care about the customers satisfaction of the service provided.

This Is A Hoax - BetterRide is the finest MTB Skills Coaching Org

AUTHOR: BetterRide - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 12, 2012

BetterRide has coached over 2,000 passionate mountain bikers.    This claim was made by student who emailed us after one day of camp the following:

"Hi gene,

I'm going to see if I can reach you by phone at a decent hour tomorrow morning if you don't see this email....

I've got a problem here. Despite using a ton on sunblock yesterday,
I've got a sunburn (not major, I always burn) but I've also got a really
bad rash from the sun (really bad). I can be out for a couple hours and
I usually limit it to that in the early morning. But if I'm out longer,
I can get a reaction and yesterday I did. It's bad enough that I'm up
now trying to deal with it.  I haven't had this happen in Phoenix but
I'm never out for more than two hours. I've only been really zapped in
areas down closer to the equator so I thought I'd be fine with lots of
sunscreen but I'm not. I can cover up more but at this point, I'm bad
enough that I'm afraid to get any more exposure...and I'm SUPER
uncomfortable. I've got huge itchy welts from over exposure.

The other option I wanted to check on would be to see if could make up 1
or both days when the camps start again in Phoenix during a time of
year that there isn't much sun or it would comfortable to be wearing
long sleeves (like December). "

BetterRide was polite and offered her a spot in any camp we offer that had room at no extra charge.  She seemed happy, but she tried to get Paypal to refund her money.  Paypal investigated and determined that she missed the camp because of illness, not because she wasn't satisfied with our coaching (she even asked to attend a make-up camp).  When paypal refused to refund her money, she vowed to bring down our company with social media.

A google search of "BetterRide" will show tons of feedback on our coaching, as well as blogs such as MTBR.com where actual mountain bikers discuss the value of our coaching and provide positive and negative feedback openly.

BetterRide offers a link to BikeFlights.com on our sign up page where customers can insure their registration against travel delays, illness, or injury.
