I was charged twice for $99 by Bid Rack (www.bidrack.com)
I followed an article about free registration and free bids using promotional code. However, I could not log on the website after several attempt and each time it would take me to a page where further information is needed such as names, address and credit card info.
Thinking it required such info so it can process quickly in the case I win something, so I entered my information and had to repeat it one more time since I still could not log in the first time.
It turned out it was charged two times, $99 each for the so-called bid package that only had 175 bids and each of the bid only cost (1) one cent. What a rip off !!!
I, though not totally, agree that it was my responsible to knowing they would charge the "initial package" which was clearly not stated anywhere; however, I should not be charged twice for the same thing.
They would not refund my the second time. :(
Via my observation, I come to the conclusion that it is a hoax like that d**n article (what a convenience) talked about.
If you would bid for something, others will bid for the same thing against you and the whole thing will drag on forever. Eventually you will give up since you are running out of money and already are tired from staying on your PCs for hours. But if you just observer item, it will be sold within minutes (not hours) for something dirt cheap like %5 to 9% of original price. This is what it gets people commit to bidding for something that does not exist.
If you read this article, please spread the words using facebook or whatever tool you normally use to communicate to friends and family member globally.

i was charged 99.00 by bidrack i followed the directions about free registrations and free bids using the promotional code.the next thing i know i had been charged 99.00 and i had not even bid on anything. i believe this is a hoax because when you call the 24 hour support line you talk to a machine. i will never do this again and i want my money back i recieved nothing so they should not get nothing. they did not state that you had to pay for a initial package. i tried to log in several times to no avail.
