I had my doubts about ordering from this company and I was right. I ordered a bike and paid by credit card. This was on a Sunday and about midday on Monday I received an email from them informing me my bike had shipped and my credit card charged. Expected delivery would be Wednesday. Great i would have someone be at my house when it arrived.
i followed up with ups where I checked the tracking...no update. Here we go. I checked again on Tuesday...no update. I called bike direct with every intention of canceling the order. when I gave the customer rep. my information I could detect a bit of hesitation and confusion led by....you got it place me on hold. A couple of minutes later the rep said there would be an update in about 20 minutes. This is hilarious.... They actually never shipped it until I called and woke them up. But they never told me that. In fact they LIED and told me to expect it the next day. RIGHT you no good bunch of idiots. You sure charged my credit card and said the hell with the customer.
I hope everyone who reads this blup thinks twice before they buy from this company.

I sent an email to bikesdirect complaining about what I thought was an attempt to coverup their mistake. The following day I received a phone call from the CEO of the company. He was very understanding and explained the entire shipping process to me with an offer to refund my money.
However, after I received my bike I couldn't be more happy and satisfied. The bike was well packaged and easy to assemble with an Allen head wrench, flathead screw driver and cresent wrench. I can't believe the quality of the bike at such a great price.
Classic case of opening my mouth and inserting my foot before gathering ALL the facts. My apologies to Bikesdirect as I will continue to get my bikes (if this one wears out) from them.
