Bill Kolb Jr. - Subaru Once you pay..they no longer know who you are! Orangeburg New York

I got a great deal on used 2008 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited L.L. Bean edition with Nav! Price was great and the dealer was so friendly. Even the paper work transaction was smooth!

Before the test drive, I noticed floor mats were missing and there was 1 inch by half inch scratch on the rear right door. The dealer told me I would get the floor mats and they'll do the touch-up paint on the scratch that I mentioned after technician finishes the check up and the detailing.

On the night of the same day I came back to pay and pick up the car. However, the sales consultant that helped me was out and another consultant stepped in to close the deal. New car was waiting outside and without taking look at the car again (big mistake I made), I paid and got into the car.

Of course this is where Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru dealder changed their personality. Floor mats weren't there and touch-up paint job was never done. Substitutte consultant told me that I should speak to my sales consultant for the missing items and he has no more time to help me. I've left a voice message and sent an email for the missing items and touch-up paint. Well.... no response. They responded me so well when I tried to buy a car, but once that check is in their hands it's a done deal.

I don't really want to make a big deal out of this incident. I can actually buy floor mats and touch-up paint for under $100. It's not the money that I'm mad about, it's the customer support and service that they provide. Words should be good as a contract. It's sad that it isn't in this dealer. Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru can really really really sell those cars fast and easy... but their customer service scale from 0 to 10, it's about -2.

For future Subaru buyers in Bill Kolb Jr. in Orangeburg, NY........ Please have all the rainchecks in the paper and get it signed from the owner of that dealer or your sales consultant. I'm little worried about what kind of maintenance service that I can get from this dealer. I'll update their customer service as time goes on. Wish me luck.
