Be aware of Mr. Bill Miller in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan. He is falsely claiming to be a forester to make you believe he is in it for the good of the timber. He will change contracts that you have signed or agreed to and reap your land. He does not relay what he does to any 3rd party harvesting companies so be aware that no one will really know but him and he will take you to court like many landowners before! If he asks for your business, steer away and contact another timber buyer! chances are that anyone else in the area deals with the same 3rd party harvesting company and there is no one to blame but him or yourself if you do not get estimates or pay close attention to what is happening to your property.
He lives in Manistee and has a building he rents at the old mortons salt storage. He works all surrounding counties. as farn north as Traverse City and as far south as Muskegon.
He drives a white 2006 GMC Sierra single cab pickup truck with a dented tailgate or a late model white Mercury Mountaineer.
if you come in contact with him, let your neighbors know what he is about because it will happen
Do your research and get multiple estimates before signing your name on a contract so that you do not fall victim to him or any other preditory timber buyers, no matter where you live in this country

This report was written by a former disgruntled employee who stole equipment from Bill Miller Timber. He wrote this bad review from jail while serving time for stealing equipment from Bill's Company.
Bill Miller Timber buyers have been working in my area and he and his crew have worked efficiently and well within industry standards clearing the acres near where I live. He and his crew are very concientious and attentive to the clients they serve.
