This guy is a complete flim flam con artist and has stolen 3,000+ dollars from me then he split. Actually I paid him 5,500 dollars, the last 3K he took his tools and walked. He is also known as Billys handyman service also. He is a 55 year old roofing contractor from Connecticut. He has absolutely no training in framing, plumbing, electrical, or basically anything with a brain. He has “MOVED 5 TIMES IN LESS THAN 5 YEARS” and I notice he has moved yet again, so that makes 6 times within 6 years! I’d guess he left the landlords on the hook also? He does this so he can steal from people and once he has your cash or service you cannot get your money back. You may get a lawful judgment, but you will not recover your money because he has nothing to lose, and moves every year. He lives with his girlfriend who has less ethics than he has. He’ll promise you the world, which he couldn’t do even if he tried. I hired him to remodel my 6 x 10 bathroom, all I got was the demo and about 12 2×4’s He’s a complete scammer from the beginning, to the bitter end. – RIPOFF.

He cut 4″ holes for 3″ pipe. He wanted to put cheap Luan sheeting in the bottom of a shower stall? WTF? REALLY! He was going to cover my bathroom floor with the same cheap junk after he cut my bath floor into swiss cheese? The wall studs were not 90 degrees, and I later found out were never nailed to the roof joists – He was going to install the shower faucet inside of the outside wall of the house before I stopped him – Who’s the expert? No insulation in anything. He left live wiring just HANGING on a step ladder. He broke the toilet upstairs by beating on the downstairs ceiling. He cut the toilet plumbing pipe so short it had to be COMPLETELY replaced. Not one thing got done, nothing, just some demo in 3+ weeks of aggravation. I bought the vanity, all fixtures, shower door, all tile, rubber shower membrane. The list goes on. My FIRST experience with a contractor. He was quick with demo – Ha, Ha, what a ride…..

He is not insured, or bonded, and he is not ethical, and has no proper training.

I don’t talk badly of anyone but this takes the cake, this guy. Just like all of those people on TV that got ripped off, this loser is right with the pack. He is untrained, he gets nothing accomplished. He goes home after 2-4 hours at the job site. he did this on a daily occurrence – NO JOKE. – that’s not even a joke man!

Losing over 3K really hurts in this economy, and to have to beg this loser to work off some of his payment I gave to him will twist you into knots. HE REFUSED of course, and now I’m confined to writing a bad review that reflects as badly on my choices, as it does on this thief. My guess is he’s been in jail at some point? He has a temper also that you would be well advised to avoid. All of his helpers left him during my remodel, but you should realize he only had a helper on 3 days over the course of 3 weeks. He put in about 20 hours of total work himself and I paid him an additional 3K based on his word after we went to Lowes Hardware to HELP me to spend another 5,000 dollars on windows and doors he promised to install. – THATS WHEN HE BURNED ME AND LEFT WITH HIS TOOLS. after he left me hanging with all these doors sitting on my back deck getting rained on, what a F%$# mess.

THIS WAS NOT AN ACCIDENT – THIS WAS A DELIBERATE THEFT.

I asked him repeatedly to keep the garage key for entry but he wouldn't, then when he leaves he takes the F*&%^$G key?? - what kind of vulture, pedator does this kind of intentional crap?? He punched my house siiding and broke it. He spun out of my gravel driveway like a punk kid twice. He put a 3/8 - 6 inch bolt (not sharp) and punched it into my tire. I went to leave after telling him his workmanship wasn't acceptable, and I mysterioasly got a 6 inch carraige bolt punched into my rear tire. Steer clear of this dude – Do not give him any money pre-work. I now see he has moved yet again 6X in less than 6 years because of his trail of devastation in North Carolina.

 YOu asked for it and I did not reply I wold give it to you. I said I wanted you to have it if you did a good joy

and took it as part of payment for work agreed upon. the work did not happen . You hung 40 pieces of sheetroc,

were paid for sheetrock for the entire three rooms, 1000 dollars for which I got no receipt nor sheetrock beyond

the 40 pieces. WE had not contrac for anything written. You agreed on 4000 for everyting and then went up to

5000 above FMV.l  am paying anoter contractor who will give me receipts for money given  and for the amounts

he actualy paid for materials and agreement to compleete job for 4000 which is FMV that you also quoted when

you began. We had not written contract so none but verbal is broken and you have my money for work not done

for which I have no receipt and will take you to small claims court. I am indigent and cannot lose 1000 I need to

pay someone else who will bill for the job when done to satisfaction.  I gave you no sailboat and do not know

what your are talking about. You may not take any possessions from my property nor return to my property.

Your manner of business is not professional not giving written contracts, nor receipts for momey paid and

making a discussion that you asked for my sailboat,,as my giving it to you. I have the title and primissed you

nothing. You have made up all kinds of things I said, and took 1000 for work you did not do minus th 40 of

sheetrock. I aim to recover the lose .  I need the 1000 to pay another contractor who will give receipts

for payment and do the job with the momey I pay him.  Your rebuttal is lies and the only proof of

anything is you have 1000 of my money and I have 40 dollars of sheetrock.

This report put on here against my company by Linda Clark who resides at xx Rollingwood Drive in Durham NC 27713 is completely wrong.  I did in fact get $500.00 by check to start the job and did not pocket the money - this money went for 15 sheets of sheetrock, insulation and plastic.  The outside wall had rot and mildew.  The bottom 2x4 plate along the floor - 20 feet long had to be replaced.  So my worker and myself did the repair.  I also bought twenty 2x4's to do the repair.  Replaced 2x6's on the carrier wall which required jacking up the house for support before I removed the 2x6's ,and  hung 15 sheets of sheetrock.  I went over to Linda Clark's house to show and explain to her what was done and it was done to her satisfaction and remarked that she was pleased with our work so far.  She gave me a cadamaran boat that was located on the right side of her house - out of the kindness of my heart I removed tree limbs, wood, leaves and left the area clean and accessible at no charge to show my appreciation.

After the first day of work, I asked Linda for another $500.00 to be used for the work that was completed.  I am only 2/3 of the way completed with this job - she is filing in bankrupcy and told me she was using my work with her filing.  I did not want to continue because she would continually call me all hours of the night screaming at me that the work that was already done was not done - I tried several times to talk to her and help her understand my work and she would only interrupt and continue to scream at me.  I am sorry all this had to come about - I hope that someone could explain it to her that this work that was completed was to her satisfaction and in person she did understand it at the time but could not grasp it on the phone.  She did not ask me for a reciept at any given time , if she had, it would have been no problem to supply her with one. The $1,000.00 that I received does not come close to material and labor in work performed so far with this job.  Linda Clark told me she will not pay me the balance and called me and wanted me to take down the sheetrock that was already installed and bring it back to Lowe's and get her money back which is impossible.

I did not take money from her and not do this job.  I have been in my business for 30+ years and this was the first time I encountered this type of customer and behavior.  

I also sheetrocked some of her stairs and again she was pleased with my work.  It is not my nature to take money for any job and not do the work - I have many customers in Connecticut and North Carolina and Virginia who have been more than pleased with past jobs.  If I look at a job and the customer needs references I have many who will give me a 5 star reference.
