Birdsong Electric ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing overbilling Garland Texas

Charged 5.5 hours of labor at $75.00/hour to run a wire for my hottub (assistant 3.0 hours at $45.00/hour). They called me from their business at 12:07pm to say they were on their way out to do the job. At 2:34pm I received a phone call asking for my credit card number, so I could pay them (I suppose they were finished with the job). I was home at 5:30pm. My wife had been home filling the hottub (obviously, after the electricity had been hooked up) for 2 hours and already had the water warming (i.e., the electricity/heater was already hooked up).

When I called to complain they said he left at 10:00am (what was supposed to be a "free estimate", and they actually should have charged me 5.75 hours, but "he took a lunch, and they were being generous with the time they charged me". They were so generous they charged me a $10.00 Fuel Surcharge on top of the $900.00, and their business is only 9.07 miles away from my house.

They did excellent work!! However, they were not there the hours they said they were (we had people there), PRICE GOUGED US, and were beligerant on the phone when we called to complain about thier billing practices. I would like to see my $317.50 overbilling back in my pocket!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY, FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!
