Marvin S. Powell, Jr.  uses titles (Bishop, Pastor, Apostle) to gain access to and the trust of Women who love God for the Sole Purpose of Scamming them out of Money, Gifts, Trips, etc.

We are urging everyone who has been targeted in this White Collar Crime to file a complaint with the FBI by visiting www.iC3.gov.  Please understand it does not matter the amount of money you gave nor does it matter if you refused to give him anything, the intent/motive was there IF he ASKED you for money or other items, so please take a mintue to go to that webiste and file a complaint against him to help further the investigation and prevent our sisters from becoming his next targets or victims.

He extorts money from vulnerable women by using FaceBook, e-mail, Tagged, Hi5, MySpace, Twitter, Instagram, church groups, etc. to meet, romance, and victimize women.

He will post regarding "sowing seed" and what God "revealed" to him regarding the ministry.  He will then provide PayPal account information or wire transfer account information to the giver upon request of how "to sow the money seed", which is directed to the Powell House-International Ministries, Powell House Royal Priesthood, Powell House Xtreme Praise Assembly, Bishop and Founder Marvin S Powell, Jr. - The Apostle. (NOTE:  At the time of this report we were unable to locate a state license for operating a church or business in his name or at the address he uses, which is his residential property.)

He advertises on CDBaby.com, Youtube.com, Amazon.com and other online sites for the distribution of music and books, which can also be used as a forum in finding or targeting victims.

He convinces women he is celibate, divorced, and desiring marriage; some of them relocate to the area only to be abandoned by him later.

He "borrows" substantial amounts of money he doesn't repay.  He has many victims. Beware of his schemes and lies as he is quite convincing.

He will even attend funerals to meet women who he believes may inherit large sums of money. It is best to change your privacy settings because wolves in sheep's clothing will troll your page to find more targets to victimize.

He will take trips, take gifts, or steal personal property from them and is well versed in deception tactics as he has done this same scam over and over for years.

He has a temper when confronted by them for his crimes or what they perceive as cheating because they do not know he is still married.  He often becomes belligerent with refusal to give him what he "asks".

He will use scripture to place blame at them, confusing, embarassing, and manipulating them for personal gain.

He uses children (including his own) and other family members to "prove" to the women he is "sincere".

He will use any means necessary such as verbal threats, the shame game, name calling, scripture that he manipulates to suit his purpose, and the use of guilt, tears, and isolation; he is not who he portrays himself to be.
