Bishop Plumbing Highway Robbery Des Plaines Illinois

Called Bishop Plumbing to locate the cause of a leak in a drain pipe. Tech indicated a shutoff valve in the mastrer bath sink needed to be replaced. Tech was on the job for 45 minutes and replaced a valve that retails for $9. My bill, $470!!! 

A week later, same leak, same location. Another tech comes out and finds a section of the drain pipe needs to be replaced. After an hour and a half, tries to pass a bill to me for $730. I blew a gasket. After expressing my displeasure, he kncocked it down to $600. This is a RIP OFF!!

I was in Florida last week and happen to strike a conversation with a guy on vacation who happened to be a plumber in Manhattan NY. Told him of my story and he apologized ion behalf of his industry. He would never charge more than $175 for the valve and would have credited me if he had to come ouot a second time. That is an honest tradesman and American!

I would not call Bishop plumbing back if the basement was underwater!!!!
