BLACK WIDOW INTERNET/CRYSTAL CLEAR GLOBEL SOLUTIONS I was miss quated, I was orderd to pay money to get what I had already paid for or recive legal action and this was just in the first 2 weeks, The proofs were some times weeks late and not what I required what so ever, I was told the job would take up to 6 months and a year on I am no where, I complained in writing 3 times and never recived a reply there work is very bad, they never return call Chester Chester england United Kingdom

This Company were contacted over a year ago and I was needing a web site created for my new business. I was promised the earth as I required flash a banner a contact map page media player pay pal and a shopping cart, when I inquired about the price I was quoted 2,000.00 after I made a sum payment within 2 weeks I was told by a very rude account manager they required another 15,00.00 for flash when I made an issue I was reminded I had signed a contract. Then when I asked for proofs to be sent before I signed off anything they were not what I had even asked for and also every time I asked to have either my account manager or the person who was put in charge of my art work to call me back I would be left waiting a week sometimes 2 weeks and after calling them over 10 times a day eventually would speak to someone who would only say they would relay the message.
After sometime trying to resolve an Issue I asked what about my banner and I was told there would be a charge of 300.00 on top so after again being reminded of a contract I had signed I paid the money.
After over nine months I asked where was the shopping cart again I was told that would cost 300.00 so I was angry at this time as had a lot of future customers waiting to see what my business would look like and hopefully advertise with us.
Black Widiw Internet even sent us a proof of our site attached to some other companies sites which was un real.
They would even ask us to give them a reference for there company I could be here till tomorrow but that is the main story, I have requested them to reply to the county court but they have made no attempt and instead they email me the final payment to be made for a job that was never finished and sending a bill to an address I have never even given them.
This Company is bad news.

What is Scott Smith playing at? I believe this complaint because they also did the same to me

In November 2007 after being awarded a business grant from a local enterprise Business start & Go.I found Black Widow Internet, who I found off approved webdesigners.com and I contacted them about building my digital publishing web site and was given a quote and a brief of what they could do for me.
I decided to go ahead with this company, and they was paid 2000 to start. The project was going to be in total 3080 in all and would take around 90 days to complete according to the brief. The design stage took longer than expected as I was not happy with some of the designs done, but it was finally completed and the development stage was started. It was said that the website would be complete in March 2008 which in that time I was awarded a business loan from the princes trust. The conditions of this loan were when the website was complete that the first tranch of money whatever was outstanding would be released to me to pay. In March, they wrote a letter stating that it would be finished at a specific date.
There was apparently some issues and this caused the website to not be ready in march. In April when the website was said to have been finished. I was asked to sign off and make final payment, it was then I refused as I hadn't been able to access the website. They then gave me log in details in order to access the website which I was still unable to see the site fully. However, I discovered that the subscription feature was totally missing, I told them about this, and they said I did not include this in my brief and I would have to pay extra to have this feature added. Even though I had it written in my brief and showed them, still they refused to add this feature, unless I paid more so I agreed to pay extra for this feature as I had waited long enough.
It then took months for this feature to be added in this time I had constantly been emailing and calling Black widow to find out why it was taking so long, I also had gotten my Princes Trust mentor to speak to them at this point to find out what was the delay as they started to ignore me. In this time, I also made the first complaint to the director of the company this complaint was ignored.
Around July-August they said they had finished the site, and again I should sign off the project and pay the final outstanding balance, again I refused because I had not seen the website fully to say all features was added and I was pleased with it. This is then when I received the invoices asking for final payment and the email about taking court proceedings against me. I paid the final amount but was still not given the website as I had not signed it off due to the fact that I could not see how it functioned. Furthermore, as I had seen it was still not complete. I sent several emails stating the changes I wanted done and to date this has still not been done.
I was passed around to 3 different account managers who I had to explain what it was I wanted the site to do as they hadnt bothred to check my brief to see what my requirements was. I was told that I didnt ask for these features and after demanding and persisting that I did and had it in the briefs they sent over they said that they had included it and that I didn't know how to use the site correctly and that could have been the cause.
In the end after waiting for so long I decided I wanted to just get another company to finish the site which is when I discovered the site had been poorly built and was unusable.
It has been now nearly 2 years and after giving up, I asked for them to just give me the site as it so I could complete the changes eslewhere. I was sent this on a disk and I was asked to sign off to say I was happy before I could recieve this. I have been to various different web developers asking if they would be able to apply the changes I wanted done to the site and to have it at a decent state in which I could use it. However. I was told the site was poorly built, and I would be better to start again due to the amount of work it would take to fix this.
Due to the time BlackWidow took to get to this stage the Prince's trust is no longer willing to give me the rest of the money I was awarded. I have no website, lost all the money that I made such a great effort to gain and absolutely in pieces after the battle, I went through with this company. All though all this they had a "I don't care" attitude

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am very saddened to read the comments above by this individual. Both myself and my dedicated team take our reputation and client satisfaction extremely seriously. Whilst we are human and sometimes make mistakes, we are a very honest and open company and always work our hardest to resolve any issues for our clients.
When a genuine problem occurs we have a defined complaints process in place to ensure that the issues are fully recorded and investigated as a serious matter by upper management. We do have a very small number of clients that have made complaints, some have been valid and we have worked hard to rectify the situation and sometimes they are not valid. We treat all complaints very seriously as not only do we wish to provide our valued clients with the best products and services, we are aware that by addressing complaints head on we are able to evolve and improve our company for the benefit of all.
The reason I am saddened at this complaint is that I am aware of who this individual is and the real facts of this situation. I will be careful how I address this complaint as I wish to remain professional and also not break the data protection act.

Mr Saunders has also taken visuals we have provided him which have not yet been paid for and placed them onto his MySpace profile, however I will not post his personal MySpace page here as I feel that is unprofessional and uncalled for.
Regarding the claims made above, I will firstly bullet point each claim and reply accordingly, and then I will put down the honest truthful facts of this situation for you to consider both sides and make an informed decision.

When I first heard that a member of my staff had been rude I was shocked so I decided to listen to all the calls with the client, which were burned to four audio cd's. At no point were my staff rude, sometimes they were confident when faced with abusive calls but never rude.
There were a small number of flash animation hours in the contract and originally the client wished to have a very simple flash introduction. During the building stage the client decided they would like a far more elaborate flash introduction with bouncers standing in-front of a nightclub, the doors open, the user walks into a hall way and can enter into the night club to be met by an animated nightclub scene with animated DJ and the ability to play records from the website. This additional work that was well outside of the original contract and should have cost over 2,000.00, however we discounted this price to 1,500.00. The client did have a choice not to pay this additional cost but was happy at the time to do this and in my honest opinion the flash animation looks brilliant. This is also featured on the clients MySpace profile.

We have a policy of returning emails and phone calls within 72 hours, however we normally do this the same day or the next working day. Claims of being ignored and large waiting times are simply untrue.

This was simply a new feature and the client was happy to pay for the additional work.

There was not a shopping cart solution in the original contract as the original business model did not require this and this was a new feature.

As we have not got to court yet, I will not comment on this as this is not professional in my eyes. I believe firmly that we have acted correctly and professional at all times and have provided everything that we should of, to the high standards we promise and in the timeframe on the contract.

I cannot find any tangible facts in this situation for such a comment but people are entitled to this option, regardless of what it is based upon.
The truth of this matter is that we had a fantastic relationship with Mr Saunders, so much so that we received a testimonial from him for the website which can be seen at www.blackwidowinternet.com/mystery.php
The relationship break down started many weeks after the client saw the signed off visuals and wanted to increase the size of the visuals for a larger screen resolution. At the start of every project we discuss the various screen resolutions with a client, advise on the pros and cons and the client agrees which size they wish us to develop the website for.
Mr Saunders, after signing off the visuals, simply changed his mind and was not willing to pay for any additional work for these changes, even after we applied a large discount. It is at this point we received threatening emails and various false complaints online. The resize of the visuals were certainly not required to take the website live and it is very sad that Mr Saunders took the actions he did. I feel a much more productive route would have been to either a) pay for the additional work or b) take the site live with the original signed off screen size rather than trying to cause trouble for a group of people that have moved heaven and earth to help this individual.
