I went to a presentation on August 15, 2009, at the Marriot Hotel in Los Angeles,  for a presentation that Lic. Fernando Blanco was giving regarding how to prosper, get rid of debt and make money in a short time. Mr. Blanco was very convincing and inducing in his words that most of the Latino people in the group joined or signed a contract for another presentation or training session (who will cost an average of $150.00 per session on August 15, 2009): how to make money, start making your own business and many other false promises. I was told that in those actual training sessions Fernando Blanco made people signed for more trainings offering more false promises and so on.

After the night I went to the mini-training session, I went home and started researching for that business and surprising found nothing about that company, no Web site, no registration of the company whatsoever. So, the next day I sent a fax at 800-456-8070 and I called at 650-969-1122 to cancel the contract that he made me sign where stipulates that I would be unable to break even thought I wanted to. I tried calling several times during the following days and nobody picked the phone just an answer machine, so left several messages.

I reported the charge that they made to my credit card due to my wish of canceling of the contract and they refused the charge back stating that I signed a contract where I would be unable to break no matter what.

Per California Civil Code & 1689.20 you have three business days cancellation period for those kind of contracts without giving any reason to do that.

So, Latina people please get information regarding these kind of companies that want to take advantage of us and if get induced by them, report them. It's the best way to keep other people aware of the fraud.

Thanks for your time.

Hola,

http://www.dca.ca.gov/publications/legal_guides/k-6.pdf

Suerte.
