Bloom Residences Brevan Asset Management HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH BLOOM REIDENCES!!!!! They promised to purchase our existing timeshare in exchange for us buying a timeshare from them. They never completed the purchase of ours. Lied about everything! San José del Cabo Baja California Sur

On May 4, 2017 we were talked into attending a presentation for a timeshare in San Jose Del Cabo, BCS Mexico under the guise of free money and other things. The presentation was given by a man named Freddy Magid who said that he was a "manager" that was brought in for just a few days. (Google his name and see who we are talking about). Freddy had a very convincing story that the timeshare industry was changing to a "fractional ownership" program and changing the way the timeshare industry was concieved.

After spending several hours with Freddy he told us that Bloom would purchase my wifes timeshare in Colorado for a price that was almost double the purchase price of their unit in San Jose Del Cabo. It "appeared" to be a very good deal so we went ahead with it. Even though the contract said "liquidation within 90-180 days" Freddy kept insisting that MOST deals like this were done in 90 days. Not having the funds to outright purchase their timeshare they offered to finance it until the purchase of our timeshare was complete. We did have to put $1,000.00 down. He told us that once the purchase was complete we should just go ahead and pay theirs off. After all the paperwork was drawn up Freddy just "shoved" them at us saying "SIGN HERE"! Later after reviewing the contract it was all so confusing and there was NOTHING that he told us that was true.

The first payment of $416.00 was taken out of our account the following month(June 2017) and two weeks later they took ANOTHER PAYMENT OUT! I called their office and was able to get the second payment reversed but then in August THEY DID IT AGAIN! Once again I was able to contact them and get it reversed but this time it caused our account to be overdrawn. Our bank covered 2 of the 4 overdraft fees but I never could get Bloom to cover the others.

We were take over to a lady at International Travel Exchange the following day to sign papers for the purchase of our timeshare in Colorado. We thought this was an escrow company. Turns out we had to pay another $799.00 for their services to "MARKET" our timeshare! The lady told us that even if there was a buyer in place for our timeshare it would take a minimum of 30-60 days to complete the process.

Freddy also told us that if we did not use any of our weeks this year we could trade them in and sell them to Brevan Asset Management for $1200.00 per week(x4=$4800), less a $849.00 "Activation Fee". Then he told us that the fee had been covered by them. We were then told that we would have to wait until October to do this, which we did, only to be told by Brevan that we had already been paid for these weeks through a credit with the purchase of the timeshare. We would have to now wait until 2018 to trade in any more weeks.

It has been eight monts now and we have not even been contacted by anyone from Bloom. I have spent months trying to reach anyone in management, including a Phil Atkerson who was the manager at the time, to no avail.

WE ARE ABLOSUTELY FURIOUS ABOUT THIS AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE DOES ANY KIND OF BUSINESS WITH BLOOM RESIDENCES OR BREVAN ASSET MANAGEMENT!
