I ordered funeral flowers on line from Blooms Today in February 2009. I did not read the "fine print" when placing my order. I just "checked" the agree box (never again). The fine print stated that Blooms Today signs you up for their Blooms Rewards discount savings program. The cost is of the program is $9.50 per month. I did not intend to "sign up" for the program. I was billed $9.50 for the months of Feb, Mar, and April. While reviewing my April Visa statement, I finally noticed across the charge.

I contacted Blooms Today regarding the charge on May 13, 2009. The customer service representative was quite rude and continued to state that I agreed to the charge in the fine print, and Blooms Today was justified in charging my Visa account. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but I was told that there was none. I asked to speak to the owner, but was not permitted to do so.

I then asked to cancel the account, and I was advised that the accopunt would be canceled. However, I was charged $9.95 on my May 2009 Visa statement. When I inquired as to why I was charged after canceling the account, I was told that the account was canceled on May 14, which coincidentally happened to be the Blooms Today billing date. No consideration was given to my conversation on May 13 requesting the cancelation. The customer service rep continuously restated continued that I had agreed to the charge in the fine print.

A Visa supervisor was on the line during the conversation with the Blooms Today customers service rep. He indicated that there was nothing he could do about this and past charges, but any future charges to my account by Blooms Today would not be paid.

This is an unscrupulous company. I am reporting Blooms Today to the US and Virginia Better Business Bureaus.

Note that Blooms Today's website states:

"Blooms Today is an industry leader because we offer a wide variety of thoughtful flowers and gifts, many with same-day delivery, and every order carries our 100% Money Back Guarantee. Our vision is to continue to exceed our customers' expectations with quality, value and extraordinary service.

The Promise Behind the Name Blooms Today is an industry leader because we offer a wide variety of thoughtful flowers and gifts, many with same-day delivery, and every order carries our 100% Money Back Guarantee.

If you are not satisfied with your order, or have a customer service issue call 1-800-520-0573. Please have your order number and recipient information ready when calling. Thank You. "

What a joke!! This company has no concept of customer service or honest business practices.
