BEWARE!!!! Research Insurance Companies before you commit.

This is a letter I wrote to BCBS of IL after they sent a Letter of Cancelation. Only problem is they cashed my check 29 days ago. This is only the latest of the problems with this company. If you llve in Illinois AVOID this company at all costs.

Dear A..... & BCBS

Along with this letter is a copy of a cancelled check that cleared my bank on 5/17/07. You stated that in order for my payment to be credited to my account I must send you a copy of my cancelled check (front and back).

Well, I first have a few things to say on that. Between my wife and I we have easily logged 17 hours of your staff's work since October of 2005. I have everyone's name we talked to and times called and times left on hold. Being with Blue Cross Blue Shield has been a full time job for us just to get the basic services, and not one claim. I couldn't fathom the time and money lost having to go to through that process of a claim with your company.

Since October you lost our HSA application for Mellon not once but three separate times. One of your regular employees was more help than your account supervisors and managers, and we commended her for her hard efforts ever chance we could. Your supervisors straight out lie, and then think they are doing you a favor by merely speaking with you. We didn't get our HSA set up until Febuary of 2006 and that is only because I made some friends from all the conversations with Mellon employees that got that ball rolling.

I will give you the fact I forgot to sign a check and it had to come back to me to get signed, but then to not credit my account, with the account number on it once you got it back is no fault of mine. Then to tell me I have to send a copy front and back in order to not loose my insurance for failure to pay? This is unacceptable to me.

What I will provide you is a copy that my bank furnishes me of a cancelled check (#1030) front only. It costs me money to get a complete cancelled check, and the way I see it, you already owe me money. What is your time worth?

I am faxing this to you as well as my attorney. I may give this to my local newspaper. I am also looking for a better insurance provider.
