Blue Dot of Maryland Blue Dot installed a new Carrier air conditioner and furnace on August 8, 2015 which froze up and lost Puron. A tech determined it had been incorrectly wired to the switches. Forest Hill Maryland

An $8000.00 Carrier air conditioner and furnace were purchaed from Blue Dot of Maryland and installed on August 8, 2015.  When the thermostat was turned to off the air conditioner continued to run.  Blue Dot was called to inspect the unit, and I was shown a completely froxen coil.  I was also shown two switch wires that had been crossed and attached incorrectly.  I was told to let the fan run for 24 hours until a secon tech could come to service it.  The next day a tech arrived who did not have a clue why he was there.  Even though I had contacted Carrier to seek their help in getting the problem resolved Blue Dot did not inform the second tech about any problem with the new unit.  After and hour and half of work he found the puron was low but had no idea why.  So I am left with an expensive new system which now may have future problems due to faulty installation by Blue Dot.  Needless to say I will never have them service any equipment again as I think they must lack skilled installers.   Alice Baker

After this report was filed the president of Blue Dot contacted the customer and asked to send his best tech and manager to go over the new units with a fine tooth comb to inspect for any possible malfunctioning of either the Carrier air conditioner or furnace.  They completed a very thorough inspection and found no damage and all working properly.  They also installed a free Nest thermostat.  They plan to return in the spring and repeat the careful inspection again.  Thanks to Blue Dot management the units run well at the present time.  Alice
