There is a commerical on TV for Blue Water Pools.  It states that you can buy a swimming pool for as low as $299.00 (installation included).  When I contacted the company, I was told that they would have to send a representative out to my home to do a free land survey.  I asked the person on the phone exactly what do they put down under the pool and I was told that that was strictly up to the homeowner.  And that someone by the name of Phil could be at my home at 8:30pm that night (Thursday 5/15/2014).  The rep came out and did his survey and told me that my land would be absolutely perfect for a pool.  And that I wanted a pool they could finance it with no problem.

We came inside for him to show me all the paperwork.  And SUDDENLY, that pool that I wanted, the pool that was soooo affordable to me, turned out to cost $28,000.00 and THAT was WITHOUT a deck.  AND, $28,000.00 was the CHEAPEST price!  When I told Phil that that was DEFINATELY NOT what I wanted, that I am living on a fixed income from Disability and that I was ONLY interested in the $299.00 pool, I was told that this is the one.  That the price goes up because of them having to PREPARE the area and because of the insurance that I need to get.

I told him that I just wanted to buy the $299.00 pool and that I would put it up myself and I was told that they do NOT do that.  Naturally, he called his boss and handed me the phone.  The boss offered to take a few thousand dollars off the price if I would agree the SHOW my pool several times a year.  BUT, even THAT price was in the thousands. I asked if I could have something in writing that I could show my family and discuss it.  The answer was NO, we don't have anything in writing, that the only thing that they could do was speak to my family his self.  If that's not shady, I don't know what is!   HOW CAN A $299.00 pool become a $28,000.00 pool?  HOW?  Because there was NEVER a $299.00 pool to begin with.  THIS IS DEFINATELY FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!
