Unfortunately I damaged my nice HP laptop computer last year (January 09). Being a student, last few classes to complete, I was in an emergency situation to get a new (Good) computer. 

I seen on TV that "Blue Hippo Could help me with a (like layaway) plan/agreement to send a new computer under weekly automatic debits to my checking account.  The total package price was supposed to be 1900.00 (38.00 a week)  which included the Computer, printer and said to be, free digital camera. (which gets canceled if you have any issues!!!)

I was told my "contract" would arrive for me to sign and return shortly... and my payments started to be withdrawn from my account. 

I believe it was only supposed to be a short time, and panicking to get back into school to finish...I called the number off the TV commercial to inquire about my account.   

Some rude guy told me that they had sent out three copies of my contract agreement, and have received nothing back from me. And there was a problem with one of my debits.  (This is where I was getting frustrated, they doubled my payment right before Easter, unexpectedly!  They were always set for "FRIDAYS"!  I realized this big snow job of a deal, that I was resting my degree completion on! )  he hollered at my husband, and was replaying the voice conversation when I asked to purchase a computer, stating that I knew that I had to pay in so much money, without any problems, for so many weeks (or said amount) before they would process my computer.   I honestly didn't hear half of what I guess I agreed to... AND NOW WITH PROBLEMS>>> I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THE REMAINDER OF THE OWED BALANCE!!!

So we continued to wait for a contract that never showed up... and finally I got tired of waiting, and called a tech to fix my broken computer.  I had my husband (I was afraid to call this rude guy again) call and cancel our plan. 

He said we could cancel the computer purchase, however when we asked for our money back, we were told we could only have store credit.

THEIR PRODUCTS FOR STORE CREDIT STINK!

I finally decided that if I didn't hurry and choose as wise as I could and order one of their junk products, they would have come up with some reason or proof that they could keep my 450.. +/- dollars!

I chose (on line) a 37 inch HD TV. Almost twice the markup of the advertised Wal - mart price~!!) The final balance needed for shipment of the TV was 128.00 that I was told could only be sent my money order.  (Which wasn't true!)

We called one more time, and asked for the address, and was given the MD information.

I was antsy!  I tried a different avenue.  I sent the payment from our bank account and "Pay Pal"... under "Send Money"

The payment finalized a few months ago... Balance owing was 0.00. We called and they said, "you have to wait six week before expecting the TV to show up.

Here this TV was promised to an older man (my father) for Christmas... I think I will have to go and buy another TV now.  Since I have no account numbers with these people, or a website to get answers from... I want my 500. plus... for all the B.S. we have gone through!

I really wish I would have checked the BBB before I was suckered! 

(Broken hearted daughter now of a Father that has no Christmas present! I lost out on my degree for dropping out, and have defaulted on student loans, no degree, no workie!!! for tusting these liars!  WHERE IS THE JUSTICE???)
