I just checked my credit report and scores today and was SHOCKED to find charges over two hundred dollars owed to BMG over 6 years ago? Associated with an address that was lived at for mere months before being bought and torn down and resurrected into an office for real estate agents. Never have we been contacted by either BMG or the Credit Collectors. Probably because they picked an address off of a very long list and assumed that just because I lived there must mean I ordered their over priced bulls**t crap! Not only are their choice in music something I have never stomached enough to be suckered into tinkering with the idea of ordering from them. It also mathmatically doesn't make sense to spend 200$ on worthless CD's you can get used off of amazon for pennies on the dollar. So I filled out a dispute form with the Credit reporting agency, experian and transunion; I called Ms. Ford at Experian Fraud Department (which is a very pleasant person by the way) 972-390-4176; She told me to file a police report, so I will try to do that tomorrow. I also wrote a letter for Validation of Proof of Debt; read up on the Fair Credit Reporting Practices and am armed to the teeth with angry ammunition. However I cannot find a damned actual address for this Collection Agency called CAPITAL ASSISTANCE GROUP; I emailed a request for these items at their formal website which is only used by them to drum up more business for themselves. But Google can't find a single thing for me....google let me down for the very first time. DOES ANYONE HAVE THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION??
BMG gave me a phone number for a voice mail 866-761-6582--i left a message and I WILL FIGHT DA**IT
please let me know if these bozos who think they can fraudulently put negative items on credit reports get sued; i would love to be apart of tearing an injust corporation down for their sub-par practices

After a long arduous 2 days spent calling everyone, being transferred nine different times, spending hours on hold; Ms. Ford saved the day!!!
I suggest calling her immediately and working with her or whomever handles the fraud departments in the other 2 credit reporting firms.

I cannot believe the audacity of these corporations (BMG&Columbia House) for the scam they pulled(or tried to pull) by messing with my credit.
After a call to BMG who said that the account numbers didn't even belong to them -they belonged to Columbia House (even though BMG was the company posted on my credit report) Columbia House gives me the name of the Collections Agency Capital Assistance Group; which by the way also doesn't have an account number, a file or even my name anywhere in the system. Upon questioning all of the above named companies neither one could tell me who was responsible for putting that negative remark on my credit report or how to get rid of it.
Thats where Ms. Ford comes in- in 5 minutes of explaining to her the run-around and the bullshit she puts one phone call in to BMG and since they started the same story with her she automatically had it stricken from my credit report. Now that's what I call service.
