Boat Boys Sayers Marina Buckeye Lake Dock Rental Fees Newark Ohio

 Investigative Question...I paid dock fees for 3 years at Buckeye Lake Sayers/Boat Boys Marina 2015 thru 2017 in the amount of $1700.00 just a few weeks before the State announced the lake drain...I was not informed by the marina that there was a chance of the lake being drained...Once the marinas docks became unusable for pontoon boats I asked for refund of my dock fees. I was told by the marina that there is no contractually obligation to reimburses me for the dock fees, but they are filing with their insurance company for loss and if they succeed in collecting from the insurance company they will consider reimbursing me my fees paid...I wonder if this is an isolated incident or if this is also the case with other marinas. I understand the state reimbursed dock fees and I read that the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club reimbursed dockers their fees. I never recall signing a dock rental agreement and when I requested a copy I was told they do not keep copy's of signed dock agreements. Thanks
