I didn't exercise due diligence on this company. A quick Google check resulted in a pattern of bad business behavior:  offering very low prices, advertising products as "usually ships next business day," which is a lie, charging your credit card, sending you an email stating that your product is on backorder, then making their customers wait weeks to get the product, not answering emails, never answering the phone, never returning voice mail messages.  I've only had the misfortune to have experienced one other such company like this in the past, but I recognized the modus operandi.

I ordered a fish finder that they advertised as "usually ships next business day." In today's computerized world, you cannot tell me that these people don't know exactly what is in stock every moment of the day and cannot make this information known on it's website very easily.  They hook you with the lowest price on the web and the lie that you'll have it quickly. The truth is that they charge your credit card then place their order for the product, making you wait an indeterminate amount of time for it.

My emails and voice mails were never answered, but after a heroic effort, I finally got through to a human.  She told me that the soonest they'd get it in was in about four weeks!  I asked her to just cancel the order, which she said she would.  She promised an email confirming the cancellation.  I have a feeling that it will never come and that I'll still be calling them a week from now regarding the refund.

I will report back when/if I get an email.

Lesson:  if five or six reputable online retailers are offering a product for $350, and one unknown retailer is offering it for $315, chances are that they are going to frustrate the heck out of you before you get your product.

Charging credit card

AUTHOR: Nathar - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 08, 2012

Their website says that they won't charge your credit card until item ships. Although others at BBB have reported that they charge your card when you place the order. I checked my account and they DID NOT charge my card.  I'm still waiting for confirmation that they have cancelled my order.
