I currently own a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT (the most expensive model). I have been having problems with the "fly by wire" electronic gas pedal system. These problems caused a small "fender bender" on the rear bumper cover (about $550 to repair). This was not my fault, the car "jumped" when given a minor gas pedal input it accelerated unexpectedly in recerse. I learned through two different Dodge dealers (including Bob Dance) that this problem was a result of the computer needing an update. It is commonly referred to as a Flash update and is an easy fix.
The service manager told me two weeks ago that there was also an update out for the new Dodge Charger which shares the same Hemi engine as my vehicle. When confronted with this information yesterday the service manager was EXTREMELY rude and abusive and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and that he never informed me of this information (calling me a liar). Long story short Bob Dance is now trying to cover their a*s and deny that they provided me with information they should have kept quiet. I want Dodge to fix the body damage on my vehicle and I think the Service Dept. at Bob Dance needs a new manager and attitude adjustment. They also told me that they are not obligated to provide a "courtesy shuttle" to and from a customers home. In their own words... that's why it's called a "courtesy" shuttle. It takes some serious nerve to tell a customer that they don't deserve good service. Bob Dance could also use a lesson in the value of repeat happy customers.

An NHTSA report...

It would seem I'm not the only one with the problem (A part of an NHTSA safety report filed by a gentleman): "I HAVE A NEW 2005 DODGE MAGNUM WHICH IS A NEW CAR. THE CAR HAS THE 5.7L HEMI MOTOR. ON 6-7-04, MY WIFE CRANKED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN REVERSE. SHE THEN DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND THE ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND WITH ANY RPM CHANGE UNTIL THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSSED IN EXCESS OF 50%. WHEN THE ENGINE DID RESPOND, IT WAS VIOLENT, CAUSING THE CAR TO SPIN TIRES AND ACCELERATE BACKWARD AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, HITTING ANOTHER CAR IN OUR DRIVEWAY."

NHTSB That is a safety issue

Go to the NHTSB. That is a safety issue and if they can verify it, they will work with DC on it and issue a recall.
Of course, checking the NHTSB site, there has been 1 report of a similar problem, which was no reaction from the gas pedal until it was depressed 50% then it violently accelerated. Similar, not the same.
As for the Courtesy Shuttle. They're exactly right. If they don't offer one, they don't offer one. They aren't required to do so. Take your business to another dealer if you don't like it.
In regards to paying for the damage. Did you get a police report? You should have. Otherwise it's your word standing alone. With the backup of a police report, you would have proof of multiple things, such as time of accident, verification that the driver was not impaired, the accident happened where you said it did. Without the police report, how is the dealer to know what you say really happened? For all he knows you could have been all liquored up and run into the other car.
Lastly, with the police report, you can go to your insurance company, and they will repair the damage, minus the deductable, and if it's a good insurance company, with the police report, will go after Daimler Chrysler to recoup the money spent.

A provable Manufacturer's defect caused a motor vehicle accident with verifiable damage and the dealer - as the manufacturer's representative - refuses to make good on it promptly? I am sure your car is not the only one on the road with this problem, and this would make an interesting Class Action.
Remember what happened with Ford and their bad tires a couple of years ago? they had to recall millions of cars to replace all 4 tires at a cost of hundreds of millions of dollars.
