On August 01,2006 I got a (SPAM) e-mail from BocaJava.com.So I open it.They wanted me to buy four 8 oz. bags of Boca Java coffee for a dollar each plus $5.95 shipping. So I decided to join on temporary bases. I bought this coffee for a friend of mine to see if he like it. I'm not a coffee lover or drinker. After I got the coffee from BocaJava.com I wanted to unjoin/remove/unsubscribe. They won't let me. Unless I either paid full price for the next batch of coffee or pay a $20.00 dollar removal fee. Which I can not afford and didn't know there was such a fee. As far as I know. I didn't see any term or conditions.

Since I'm disabled and live in a H.U.D. controled apartment and on a fix income. I can't afford the coffee or the fee. I feel I'm being bullied/ripoff in paying a fee to unsubscribe. I order online at lease once or twice a month. I never ever had to pay a fee for some thing I don't want.

Can you help me get removed/unsubscribe without paying any fee. If you can e-mail me.

BocaJava RIPOFF

AUTHOR: Malcolm - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 31, 2006

I did call and e-mail BocaJava.com. They (BocaJava.com) said that I joined and to unsubscribe/remove. I would have to either pay $20.00 removel fee or buy four more 8 oz.bags of coffee at their regular price of $6.75 per bag. even if I wanted them or not. I can't afford that on my fix income. I been ordering online since 1996.I never ever had to pay any fee at any time to unsubscribe from any online company. I truly believe this is a RIPOFF/SCAM. I don't like to bullied by any company online or off trying to force me to some thing I don't want. I think this sneaky, underhanded, very unfair. So if see an ad or get a e-mail from BocaJava.com Don't buy any of the so called coffee for 8 oz. bags for $4.00 dollars. It's SCAM/TRAP.

" If you joined through one of our promotional offers, there will additional orders that will be required, that must be met before cancelling the club membership (or you may select the inactivation charge). Please see your original terms and conditions of your obligation for more information. "

I found that on their website. Always Check the FAQ! Also I found something else:

"PLEASE NOTE: You may not cancel through email. You must call our customer service number at 888-262-2528 to process your cancellation."

Did you call them or email? If you emailed only, call them right now to cancel! Make sure you get the name of the service rep. you are talking to, along with some type of confirmation. Or at least the time and date you talked to them.

It is unfair that even on the homepage the information that they give about the club is that there are NO OBLIGATION. But if you read closely on the following pages, FAQ, and in the Terms and Conditions they do give information about your obligations. Obviously they do have SOME type of commitment, so saying they have none on the front page is misleading.

These types of offers are always misleading and I tend to just ignore them. If something says it is free.. there is usually something else attatched. You should always read everything, especially when signing up for a trial! Sorry I can't help you, just hope you did CALL to cancel, not email!
