My complaint is against Anfed or Annuitants Federal Bank aka BOFI Bank of Internet.  Five months ago I recieved a mailer from this bank to sell my annuity payments for cash needed.  I made a phone call and spoke with a guy name Armondo who promised me the world.

They were very attentive until I signed the documents with a notary.  This is when they became dfficult to reach.  My first court hearing was cancelled because their attorney, Roger Dunnaway wanted a different judge.  It was moved to a month later and nobody at the bank called me to notify me.  They had their attorny call me whom I had never spoken to before.

After my court date in November, the judge signed my paperwork and I was promised a 48 hour pay out period.  They have still not paid me the 18,000 they owe me and it is one week before Christmas.  I have hired an attorney and I am now paying this attorney to collect what is owed me.  This bank is dishonest and will sell you on the fact they are a federal bank.  The truth is, they will steal your money and tell you there is nothing you can do about it.

I have reached out to the judge who approved my annuity transfer and plan to go to the media if this is not resolved in the next few days.  If anyone has had a similar issue with this bank, please respond as I already have several other similar stories from people and the more we have the better.   Pass the word along and DO NOT give them access to your money.

Update on BOFI

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Friday, January 06, 2017

I am writing an update on my interaction with BOFI/Annuitants Federal Bank.  First, I would like to say that this Bank has paid the money they owed me.  It took longer than I had anticipated, and I wrote my previous comment out of frustration when I didnt understand exactly what was happening.  What I can tell you is that this Bank is extremely thorough and made sure everything from my past was updated.  Although this slowed down my transfer process, BOFI made sure that everthing was in order to complete the transaction.  I am satisfied with my interaction with BOFI.
