STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I purchased my Bolton Band Saw model 1018B in January of 2017 from Bolton Tools aka (Toolots).  Less than a year later the hydraulics that control the arm lift went out, making the machine inoperative.  Since it was under warranty I contacted Bolton Tools and they agreed to replace the part.  That was 5 months ago.

To date I have not received my part and my new machine is sitting in the corner of my shop and cannot be used. The only thing I received from Bolton Tools was one lie after another.  Originally I spoke with Stephanie, then Jesus, both worked in customer service and both agreed to ship me the part but have yet to do so.  I was good about not bugging them but as the months went by I became increasingly concerned and now they have stopped emailing me altogether. Now I’m left with a $3000  machine that is completely worthless in its current state.   

I saw a few negative reviews online but never figured that Bolton Tools was that bad. If you are reading this then you understand the importance of reviews and the insight they can provide.  I also purchased an expensive milling machine from them and guess what? Yep, it’s broken too and it’s newer than the band saw. In that regard I strongly urge you NOT to purchase any machine from Bolton Tools.  

What you don’t know is that these machines are built and shipped to the US by the lowest bidder in China and that parts are simply unavailable.  When their machines break Bolton Tools will string you on for months and months until you eventually go away.  Best of luck to you.
