Here is my sad story , about three Month's ago I bought this Infinity '93 J30 from Bonds Auto Sales ..Bad Choice, which I know now... Since they sold the car ..AS IS.. I asked what they will do for me in case something goes wrong with the Car. Well these are they exact Words" IF THE CAR GIVES ME TO MANY PROBLEMS , I CAN EITHER GET IT FIXED AND THEY WILL WRITE ME A CHECK PER RICK OR THEY WILL PUT ME INTO ANOTHER CAR PER SCOTT. Neither one of them works there anymore . How about when I took this car for the first time on the Highway it started shaking in the front. I called Bonds and they told me LInda will call me Back, she is the Mananger...Befor Linda could call me back I had turned my Courtesy Lights on ,which I noticed where off at all times ,and now I know why . Whenever you go over a hump or lean your leg against the door all the lights will come on in the inside...They tricked me there...I told linda about it and she said that they will check it out ..than called me back the Day before my apointment and cancelled, told me I have to get it Fixed on my own. One week after that my A/c went of...yeah right,,I was thinking the same thing. About two weeks after that my head lights went of completely..I have an electrical short somewhere.. plus now my Interior lights are totally off and my air bag light just came on..Yes i got screwed..And I am a female go figure. I bought the Car for $9.000.00 wich is still to much but I have no Credit and I did would I new best ..when I signed my Papers nobody told me that I will end up spending 13.055.72 are you kidding..So far this is what I paid for repairs I also needed a new Timing Belt and Water Pump =455.00, Drive Belts=75.00, Front Struts=411.98 total price=1.029.32 I still need electrical problems fixed, Valve Cover since oil is leaking = $500.00,Evaporator for my A/C=$600.00.

I am a full time college Student and I work only part time, I bought this car so I can further my Education now I might have to put my Life on hold so I can fix these problems...I really would like to fight this but how e-mail me if you can help ...I really appreciate it.

PS: Linda said she will help me with my Payments just bring in the receipt ..all they did is put it on the back of my Total Amount I still owe......They are BIG FAT LIERs

I felt the same way at first.

I bought a 2003 Saturn L300 from Bond Auto Sales in Tampa. When we went to look at the cars, my wife looked at the Saturn. The salesmen told us to go take it out for a while to see how we liked the car. Just told us to have it back by closing time. The car ran great and handled great. At this point my wife really wanted this vehicle. I let this get in the way of my logic on spending more time researching and having the car checked out by a mechanic prior to me buying it. The Car fax came back clean. So I settled for that.

I also bought the CAR AS IS. Which I know what it means. With in two months the CMS(computer modulator system) went out in the car. The car wouldn't even start except on occasion. I was furious. I called up Bond and spoke to the Manager of that office. He explained to me I did buy the car as is. But he would do what he could to fix this issue. So at first he recommended I pay for the repair then he would take some of it off the note. He told me to try to get it done in 30 days. We'll life happened and I couldn't come up with the $1500.00 bucks to fix the car. At this point I was REALLY mad. This time I called up and in not such a friendly way I said this was a pile of crap and you sold me a piece of junk. Frank(can't remember his last name). At this point he could of blown me off and said I bought the car as is. Instead he came and picked up the car to see what was wrong with it. When I looked up this part I needed is was close to 600 bucks just for the part. Anyways he calls me that evening told me I would only have to pay for the part and tow. Which ended up coming to 150 bucks(not sure how he got new part so cheap) which he added the repair to the car note and i just had to pay the tow cost there.

So at the end the manager for that particular location made sure that i left happy even though I bought the car as is.

I learned even though the car may seems good make sure you have a mechanic check it out first. If your gonna make a $10,000 or more investment. Its worth the 50-100bucks to have it checked out.

We always attempt to assist customers with car problems!

Hello.

Linda, the manager, I know for a fact, will always attempt to assist customers with repairs when our customers need them. We have repair shops that will give our customers rock-bottom prices on labor & parts. We can recommend very inexpensive options to our customers. We don't sell a waranty product at this point, but we ALWAYS will give one new battery or pay for one tow fee to inspect our customers' cars for free. This means we don't charge any sort of "diagnostic fee" to look at a customer's car. We will inspect the car for free & almost NEVER charge a labor fee to fix a car. We prefer to have our customers take a car to their personal mechanic prior to purchasing the car, just so that the customer can feel safe & secure in their purchase. But also so that our customers will know JUST how much we go out of our way to make certain they are getting a quality car. We don't sell ANY cars that we know have major problems. Several times a month, I personally go with the buyer team to look at "new car trade-ins" that we intend to buy for our customers. I personally listen to the engines to make sure there are no obvious problems, we make sure the powertrain is sound, and I inspect for rust. Then, we do a very thorough inspection of the cars once they hit the car stores. We will spend astonishing amounts of money getting these cars to be nearly-perfect for our customers. I personally believe that our customers will always get a fair deal and a very good product from us. We would never leave someone "out in the cold" on their own, especially if they have just recently purchased the car. This woman said that her water pump had needed repair... I know for a fact that we won't let someone have a coolant system problem, once we are made aware of it. We will replace a water pump as quickly as possible, and worry about who will pay for it later. We don't want our customers to have engines that overheat & blow up! I have no idea why this customer seems so disatisfied. If my General Managers, Ricky and Frank, are ever contacted, they will respond almost immediately to our customers' problems.

"As Is" is "As Is"!

Your answer is right in the begining of your posting...you bought the car "AS IS". If you buy the car "as is" there's no warranty, no guarantee they will fix it. I'm afraid to ask, did you even test drive this thing?

Remember, as is means as is. You knew going in it was an as is deal. Enough said.
