BookSurge is a POD (print-on-demand) publisher bought by Amazon last year. They are a mess. They will take your money and it will take them 6 mos to get ONE book to you, and this with you doing all the design/formatting and sending it to them in a PDF.

You'd think that being owned by Amazon would be benefical. Problem is, they don't seem to have any connection to Amazon. For instance, when something goes wrong with your webpage BookSurge can't get it fixed. Amazon is also BookSurge's only distributor, otherwise you have to pay an additional $600 "return fee" to have your books sold anywhere else. This is a ripoff!! Other PODs don't charge this kind of exorbitant fee.

BookSurge constantly rips you off for little add-ons, like a bar code, Library number, ISBN, etc. It's always something. They even want to charge you for the privilege of selling your book on their website!! It's their book!! (That's $150)

The very worst thing about BookSurge is that they have ZERO customer service. Few people who work there care one iota about the authors. I had one "account manager" for six months who did absoutely NOTHING for me, except write me one inaccurate email. No one will return your calls, nothing will be corrected.

Save yourself a lot of money and a headache. GO TO ANY OTHER POD!!!
