BookWhirl BookWhirl is a Scam Greenbay Wisconsin

Don’t do it! If you are considering working with BookWhirl, Don’t do it! This company is a scam and they got me for $1,139. BBB Complaint in short: In 2013, I was contacted by BookWhirl employee who presented a wonderful marketing campaign designed specifically to help me launch the release of my second book, 100 of the Most Influential Entertainers, Volume II. She stated that BookWhirl had one million active book buyers all over the country who would be interested in purchasing my book.

She guaranteed that her company would send out one million emails and they guaranteed that there would be at least a 10% rate of return and from this email campaign, a 10% increase in book sales. After making my last payment in April 29, 2014, I no longer heard from the representative and was later told that my 1,000,000 marketing campaign was completed within one week! The results that I were given showed a supposedly 10.01% open rate but nothing to substantiate that 100,000 people of the supposed 1,000,000 actually opened the email. Supposedly, Three thousand seven hundred and eighty clicks were made. This is a far cry from 1,000,000.

There is nothing to substantiate this claim and none of the information provided was on a formal document. From the start of this campaign up to six months in, only six (6) books have been sold. Lastly, when I decided to do business with BookWhirl, their company website carried the Better Business Bureau's logo indicating that they were an accredited business. After contacting the BBB, it was brought to my attention that was not true. I was advised by the Green Bay, WI., BBB that BookWhirl.com was erroneously using the logo and representing themselves as being an accredited business.

They were forced to take the information down by the BBB. It was further determined that my website, which provided analytics through Google, did not provide the same numbers for hits that were given to me by BookWhirl. When BookWhirl was provided this information, they refused to respond to the BBB and ceased all communication. They also refused on every occasion to give me a refund. It took me from May 2014 to December 2014 to get someone reputable in the company to speak with me about my issues. Although this situation was resolved by the BBB of Wisconsin, I am still unsatisfied with BookWhirl and losing my money.
